Je suis 100 % d’accord avec le post de Nilay.
Résoudre un problème que l’on vit et comprend, c’est toujours plus fort qu’essayer de résoudre un problème random qu’on n’a jamais rencontré.

C’est aussi pour ça que je cherche un job. Peu importe lequel.

Idéalement un truc où je bouge, où j’apprends, où je vois le concret.
Pas derrière un écran.

Je peux me déplacer partout en Île-de-France (meme Londres), et j’ai 2 jours par semaine à y consacrer.
Le type de contrat m’importe peu.

Je veux juste comprendre un métier, voir comment ça fonctionne de l’intérieur, apporter de ma personne.

Après plusieurs années dans la tech et les data, j’ai envie de revenir au terrain.
Parce qu’à un moment, tu réalises que pour vraiment construire quelque chose de juste,
il faut d’abord vivre le problème.

Si tu connais quelqu’un qui cherche quelqu’un de motivé, curieux et pas fainéant,
je suis preneur.

Trying my luck here but I am seriously looking for a change.

I completely agree with Nilay's post.
Solving a problem you truly understand will always beat solving a random one you’ve never faced.

That’s also why I’m looking for any kind of job.

Ideally something hands-on, real, where I move and learn.
Not behind a screen.

I’m based in Paris and can move anywhere around that (2 hours drive, or even London).
I’ve got 2 days a week (Thursday + Friday) to dedicate to it.
The type of contract doesn’t matter.

I just want to understand a craft, see how things work from the inside, and bring value.

After years working in tech and data, I want to reconnect with the field.
Because at some point, you realize that to build something that truly makes sense,
you first need to live the problem.

If you know someone looking for someone curious, motivated and not afraid to get their hands dirty —
I’m in.

In 2023 I started writing small startup checks ($5k) from my freelance gigs.

I thought adding “Ex founder and Investor” to my LinkedIn bio would magically attract great deals. I was completely wrong.

I did have a few exciting chats, with solid teams solving real problems, but most of the time it was the same story. The team was struggling to raise and turned to random small check investors like me.

It took me some time to realise that. Probably because I still wanted to call myself a Business Angel somehow.

The truth is simple. Unless you have a strong brand, deep domain expertise, or access to top founders through word of mouth, you’ll mostly get the leftovers.

Now I only invest in close friends, people I know well and have early access to their rounds.

I still believe I can be a good investor, especially in assessing the right founder fit and founder market fit. The more patterns you see, the more intuition you build.

But until I get access to the best deals, I’m out of that game. For now.

Given the questions I received in DM, I probably rushed my post yesterday so I am clarifying here.

I am not looking for a full time white collar job. I am looking for a 2 or 3 days a week job where I can learn for free (can be anything, barista, supply chain, cashier, prime minister, secret service, you name it).

Tge deal is simple. 
You basically get a free labor (we will figure out something contract wise), but in exchange I only ask for two things

1. I can ask any question so I can learn as much as possible in a short time.
2. There are a lot of problems to be solved

Why am I trying this ? 
1. I have free time
2. I want to learn
3. I have three months before I am stuck at home 👀 It's now or never I guess
