It's been 6 months since I started monitoring traffic on the DeeMoney website to check out who our visitors are (especially on the B2B side).

Interestingly, a competitor is often in the top 5 list of companies that visit and spend the most time on our site 😆 

And this month they're in the top 3.

How do currency exchange rates affect businesses?

Just discovered a way to save credits/money for my company.

I use Clay and Instantly.ai a lot and often when I build a list with Clay and import it into Instantly, there are a lot of duplicate leads that will have to be removed due to overlap from previous campaigns.

Sometimes I would enrich 1000 leads only to end up with only 500 leads for use after the duplicates have been removed in Instantly.

And because credits were used to enrich those leads with data from sources like LinkedIn or Claygent, the credits are completely wasted.

Just thought of a workaround for this.

1. Before enriching the prospect list in Clay, create a new campaign in Instantly and upload the lead list. (in this instance we'll call this list, List A)
2. Instantly will automatically remove leads that are already in previous campaigns.
3. Export the leads from the campaign to create a second lead list, List B
4. Compare the emails in List A and List B with a MATCH formula in Excel 
5. Keep only the rows with duplicate emails, and remove the rest

You'll end up with a list that has currently no duplicates in Instantly, ready to enrich within Clay.

Some lessons learned from sending 35,000+ personalized emails over the past 9 months (no. 3 is so important!)

1. Relevancy > Personalization
- Personalization is weak without any relevancy. You're not going to sell your SaaS solution just because you and your client attended the same high school. Your email has to be relevant to their pain.

2. Write like a 10 year old
- People skim emails very quickly. Make sure the benefits are easily understandable. Skip the business terms and make the writing super simple.

3. Good offer + good timing = major indicator of success
- With a good offer everything becomes much easier. The hard part is coming up with a good offer that's sustainable and/or out of the box.
- Had an agency reach out to me that I had never heard about and would likely never consider, but responded to because I was in the market for their service at the exact moment.

4. Case studies + social proof
- With each email being around 100 words or less, the quickest and easiest way to convince your prospects that your product works is by showing them that their competitors are using you too.

Of course there are more things like A/B testing, sequencing, email deliverability - but there's a topic for another day.
