🎓 It started in 2013...
At my first campus interview, I saw hundreds of students chasing jobs they didn’t understand — driven by fear, not clarity.
That’s when I asked:

“How can you choose a job if you don’t even know what it’s about?”

Later that year, I lost my father in a car accident. I was 19.
That grief made me fearless. I promised myself to build something that helped others.

💼 17 Jobs Later...
I worked at 17 companies — searching for a team I aligned with.
I never found it. So in 2019, I started my own agency with my wife.
We even built a mud-walled, nature-filled office.

Clients came — Canva, SmartData, IIT Roorkee — but I saw the same old hiring problems:

Resume obsession

No curiosity

Misaligned teams

💡 The Turning Point
In 2023, I tried to solve it. Built an internal team. It failed.
Why? They weren’t aligned with the mission.

“You can’t build culture without the right people.”

I started studying hiring deeply — from books to behavioral psychology — and built a system focused on:

🚫 How Toxic Leadership Destroys Workplace Culture (and What Great Leaders Do Differently)

👉 “Toxic work culture is 10x more likely to make someone quit than low pay.”
That stat always leaves me uneasy. Not just because it’s a big number—but because I’ve seen it up close in startups just like yours.

You probably know the signs:

People smiling in meetings but silent in private.

Shifting goals, last-minute requests, or public blame when things go wrong.

The best people quietly disengage… then one day, they’re just gone.

And here’s the thing—toxic cultures don’t start with explosions.
They erode. Slowly. Like a leak in a tire you don’t notice until the whole car grinds to a halt.

I’ll give you an example:
👉 One founder I know lost her most creative engineer.
Not to a rival with a bigger salary, but because he told her—
“I stopped bringing ideas to the table. Nobody really listened.”

That hit her hard. She never realized her “high standards” sometimes meant shooting down suggestions too quickly.

💡 Lesson? Toxic leadership doesn’t just kill morale. It kills innovation, engagement, and eventually, retention.

But here’s the good news 👇
Great leadership isn’t about being perfect.

Small course-corrections make a huge difference:

✅ Set expectations, then actually trust your team to deliver.
✅ Invite feedback—and act on it. (Silence = permission.)

**Toxic Work Cultures Don’t Fix Themselves — It Starts at the Top**

Ever notice how the loudest problems at work rarely start loud?

It’s not always a raging boss or a big blowup. Sometimes, the warning signs slip in quietly—like team members going silent in meetings, or high performers suddenly asking to “catch up offline.” Everyone starts tiptoeing, questions get brushed off, and little by little, all the energy drains out of the room.

I used to think this kind of slow cultural rot was just “growing pains,” especially in fast-moving startups. Pressure’s high, deadlines are wild, everyone’s hustling. You tell yourself: “That’s just how it is.” But I kept seeing the same pattern—great people leaving, momentum stalling, founders drained and worried why nothing feels quite right.

Here’s what the data (and too many exit interviews) taught me:
- Toxicity rarely comes from just one ‘bad apple’
- 67% say they work in a toxic culture, and it’s 10x more likely to drive attrition than bad pay
- The biggest predictor? Not compensation, or even workload, but leadership habits — what we ignore and what we tolerate

And almost every time I dug for the cause, it pointed back to top; not just what leaders say, but what they let slide, excuse, or avoid.

Truth is, culture doesn’t magically “fix itself.” Workshops and value posters don’t do a thing if the tone at the top is off. If you, as founder or leader, don’t model transparency, trust, and self-reflection, no one else will.

- What am I *enabling*, even by silence?
- Where has my own stress turned into distance or dismissal?
- What hard truths have I been avoiding because I’m “too busy for drama”?

I’ve learned: fixing a toxic culture isn’t a campaign — it’s a daily choice, and that choice starts with us as leaders, not HR or “the team.”

Day 26 & 27 — Coderfarm’s Do or Die: 90 Days Challenge 🚀

Not every day is shiny.

Past two days felt more like slow grind mode.
I was deep into outreach and setting up marketing automation.

Abhilasha? She’s the MVP support system — testing all those automations, we are now fixing bugs, juggling guest chats for the podcast, updating our CRM, and working on our “How Coderfarm Works” video.

Yup. No chill.
Still, dev side is kinda paused for now.

Day 26 was all about building the automation blocks.
Day 27, we hit “Run” — and faced errors. Lots of them.
But we're debugging one by one, slowly getting there.

These days don’t look flashy.
But they’re the real building blocks.

Day 28 & 29: No big fireworks, just deep dives. 🛠️

 In our #Coderfarm90DayChallenge, some days are quiet on the outside but packed with action behind the scenes. 

That's how the past two days have felt. We're gearing up for our podcast, sorting out all the details to make sure it's valuable for you.

 At the same time, Abhilasha and I are pushing hard on outreach to get leads faster – and it's working! Building connections and finding those first aligned clients is crucial for us right now.

 And me? I'm still deep in the development side, working on the UI and making sure the platform is coming to life just as we imagined. It’s just the two of us, tackling everything from UI design to marketing and outreach. 

It’s a lot of work to get done, but there's no stress, just pure focus on getting Coderfarm ready to fix the broken hiring system.

Ever wondered what it feels like when you’re both the boss and the employee at the same time? That’s exactly where we are right now.

This Friday (29th Aug 2025), we’re all set to launch our first podcast 🎙️ with 3 amazing guests. Super excited for this one! Alongside, our new "How We Work" video has already been sent to a client—waiting eagerly for their feedback.

On the development side, progress is moving fast:
👉 The portal has now reached the Super Admin level.
👉 Dheeraj has fully dived into coding and is leading development hands-on.

Meanwhile, I (Abhilasha) am taking charge of marketing and content. Together, we’re still handling client interactions, making sure no ball gets dropped. In short—
💡 We’re building, selling, and managing—just the two of us.

We also rebuilt our outreach automation system. Earlier, we used an internal extension, but it had issues. Now we’ve created a full internal web app for outreach automation—and the results have been super fruitful already 🚀.

Sometimes, this journey feels overwhelming. But honestly, seeing things come together—podcast, portal, outreach, clients—makes every late night worth it.

🚀 Day 30 – CoderFarm 90-Day Do or Die Challenge

Big update today—our first functional website is finally live! 🎉
Funny thing is, the journey didn’t go exactly as planned. At first, we thought we’d use no-code tools, but due to some challenges, I had to switch to coding from scratch. Work is still in progress, but we’re moving forward.

On the marketing and sales side, things are just as exciting. We built a lot of automated tools that reduced manual work. Now, instead of relying on a sales or lead generation agency, we only need to check things once or twice—automation handles the rest. This means more focus on growth without burning extra resources.

And here’s another milestone—our first podcast is happening this week. 🎙️

The pace is intense, time is limited, and there’s still so much to do.
But today marks 30 days completed in this 90-day challenge.

We’ve got 1.5 months of cash flow left.
Now, it’s all about execution and seeing what unfolds next.
