Developed a software for the spectral analysis of surface waves. Studied theoretical seismic wave propagation and functional analysis to solve forward and inverse problems of seismic waves in layered media. The research was part of the project for the seismic risk hazard assessment of Santiago de Chile. In addition, Felipe was teaching assistant in undergrad and grad courses, including lab coordination in some of them.

👨🏻‍🏫 A cofferdam is a temporary, water-isolated structure in a body of water which is used to create a dry work environment for construction projects, such as bridges, dams, among others. By pumping water out of the inside of the temporary work, cofferdams allow the work site to be dry. 

🧱They are constructed with materials like steel, concrete, or timber, in various shapes and sizes, depending on the project. Once the work is complete, the cofferdam is dismantled and removed, allowing water to re-enter the area. This method is essential for underwater construction, providing a safe and effective way to work in challenging environments.

🚀 What happens here? When the fireman sprays the water at high speeds from the window of the barn, the pressure is lowered in its vicinity inside the barn, as fluid velocity and pressure have an inverse relation as described by Bernoulli, inducing a suction effect, drawing air, smoke, and flames towards the window. Although the water doesn't directly contact the fire, this induced airflow reduces the fire by ventilating smoke and hot air out of the barn, affecting the fire's behavior.

Venus has an even slower rotation rate, with each day lasting 243 Earth days, and rotating in the opposite direction to most planets. Earth's rotation period is 24 hours. Mars follows closely with a day length a bit higher than 24.6 hours. Jupiter rotates the fastest among all planets, with a day having less than 10 hours. Saturn's day is about 10.7 hours, Uranus around 17 hours, and Neptune 16 hours. The rotation of planets is important as they contribute to its atmospheric and surface dynamics.
