Mentoring/training new sales team members on ContactOut's sales process/best practices, our overall position in the market, and the value and benefit proposition, as well as helping them ramp and develop out their pitch/campaigns and sales pipelines while continuing to be the leading revenue closer on the team.

Ending cold emails by creating educational content about genuine connections. I work with a team to produce digital, audio, and video that touches, inspires, and moves people.

LinkedIn just pulled the plug on a $12M startup’s account.

Amplemarket.
One of the fastest-growing sales tools.
$12M raised.
50+ employees.

Still in business. Still selling.
But their LinkedIn presence? Gone. And maybe for good.

Remember Apollo? They lost access too. Months later, they still haven’t returned.

The rumor: too much automation and scraping of LinkedIn data.
The truth: no one outside the walls knows for sure.

Here’s the bigger point.
If your growth depends on a single platform, you’re building on rented land.

Rule of thumb: if someone else owns the field, they decide when you play.

Save this and forward to a teammate who needs the reminder.

I used to think the best demo wins. 
Turns out the best next step does.

In SaaS sales, the calendar is the real scoreboard.
If the next step is not locked in, the deal is just vibes. 
Sooooo many deals die in the gap between “great call” and “no next step.”

I’ve lost count of how many “good calls” died quietly because we left them hanging. 
No date, no time, no momentum.

I remember when I stopped celebrating demos/good conversations and started focusing on scheduled follow-ups. 

My close rate went up by over 30% in a single quarter, and most of it was because I was now giving a prospect an opportunity to self-qualify. 
Nothing else changed. Just the calendar discipline.

----- Rule of thumb: no calendar invite, no deal.

Quick audit for this week: look at your pipeline and count how many opps actually have a booked next step. 

That’s your real forecast.

Cold calling isn’t dead!

Last Friday we put it to the test.

One power hour.
600+ dials.

The energy on the floor was electric.

Aaron Cove and I were laughing between connects, Leon Capaldo jumping in on live calls with notes and pointers, Dean Kirlew was kicking ass with ease, as a hardened vet should. Even a few happy prospects were surprised to hear a real human voice and had a bit of fun with us.

Results of this Friday Fun Day madness?

Filled calendars full with qualified calls for next week.
Pipeline happy and growing.
Team morale through the roof.

Remember cold calling isn’t about spamming.
It’s about creating momentum, sharpening reflexes, and remembering that voice-to-voice still cuts through the noise.

Rule of thumb: if you can’t win a prospect’s attention in 30 seconds, you won’t hold it in an email either.
