Affiliate Marketing and Email Marketing, how do they work together?





A few days ago I had a very interesting discussion with Julia Draghici from CPV One about Affiliate Marketing and how Email Marketing can increase revenue for affiliates that are building a business from Affiliate Marketing.

Also I learned about the advantages of using an ad tracker to monitor all your ads performances and also how to fix broken links that where sent by email by mistake.

Replace `best opening hours` with `best hours to take action` when optimizing your email sending campaign timing.





As I showed in a previous post ( https://lnkd.in/drF5aHVy) , most newsletter openings occur within the first 2-3 hours after the newsletter is sent, assuming a 09:00-19:00 time interval for our recipients.


If you send all your newsletters at 09:00 AM, the best opening hours will result in the hours right after the campaign is sent—around 09:00 or 10:00, depending on the list size. So the result will not represent your recipients preference but it will be influenced by the time you choose to send the newsletter.



Instead of focusing solely on opening time metric, consider when your recipient is more likely to take action (this will, of course, depend on the action). For instance, it might not be at 10:00 AM during a meeting with their boss, but perhaps at 12:30 during a lunch break.



If you send the email at a certain hour and the action can be taken a few hours later, the recipient may forget or become preoccupied with other emergent tasks, and not take the action you desired.


Therefore, I would recommend sending the campaigns closer to the time interval when it's more likely that the recipient will take immediate action.

Our clients are curious about when most of their subscribers open their newsletters.

To answer this, at MessengerOS, we've created a visual representation showing the number of openings for each newsletter by hour.


Here are a few examples that clarify this:
If you send a newsletter during business hours, 80% of the openings will occur within the first 2-3 hours.


The specific time—whether it's 09 AM, 02 PM, or 05 PM—doesn't matter as much because most openings will happen within the first 2-3 hours after sending.


For instance, if you send all your newsletters at 09 AM, your general statistics might suggest that your subscribers prefer to open emails from 09-12 PM. However, this is due to the timing of your newsletter dispatch, not necessarily because they prefer that particular time. :)


Ultimately, what matters are the conversions. Therefore, you should experiment by sending your newsletter at different times to see when the conversion rate is highest.
