🚨Calling all UK tea and café brands. THIS is your moment. For years, we Brits have obeyed the sacred daily tea time alarm, a ritual as essential as breathing (or complaining about the weather). And now, thanks to TikTok, the world has finally discovered our little national quirk… And they are baffled. Yes, for my non-UK friends: Every day, our local tea tower blares an alarm, signalling the nation to drop everything and make a brew. ☕ Office meeting? Paused. Mid-flight? Pilot’s dunking a biscuit. Open-heart surgery? The nurse pops the kettle on. It’s the law. (Okay, maybe not legally, but spiritually.) Naturally, TikTok is losing its mind. @Inesraemusic and her Dad shared some tea alarm tips and stories, amassing over 500k views and 85k likes, Honestly, it's the best thing to come from the app this week. A perfect blend of British culture, chaos, and caffeine. So, BRANDS, this is your cue. With National Tea Day coming up in April (😉), I need to see serious tea-fuelled activations: 🫖 A "Tea Time Alarm" app with free brews to claim for those who obey it (and forfeits for those who don’t). 🫖 Public pop-up tea stations up in major cities - because everyone deserves their cuppa even on the go. 🫖 Limited-edition branded “Tea Time Emergency Kits” complete with biscuits, milk, and a motivational King’s Guard to enforce proper steeping times. Blank Street, Yorkshire Tea, Twinings, Tetley - your move. Drop your most unhinged tea rituals below. 🫖 (And for those reading this, get your mugs at the ready!!)

First guest speaker gig? Completed it mate. Last week, Olivia Farr and I (and our cheerleader/boss, Sam) joined a seriously impressive line-up of speakers for Mixxos’ International Women’s Day event. Women (and men!) from a range of backgrounds came together to connect and chat about this year’s theme: Accelerate Action. We got into personal branding and how to use it to future-proof yourself, no matter where you are in your career. And we didn’t shy away from the awkward, cringey side of putting yourself out there for everyone to see and, well, judge. But, it’s only cringey until it works. (Plus, you never know who’s watching 👀) Some other highlights from the day included: Emma Yearwood FCIPD explaining how companies with more than 30% female executives are more likely to outperform organisations with a lower gender balance. Eye-opening gender pay gap stats from Olga Frańczak, PhD. Odette Mould’s inspiring journey building Harry’s Rainbows. Esther Roche’s story to becoming a powerhouse businesswoman. Jamie Edwards talking about the importance of real conversations vs just surface-level chats. Gemma’s story of pure grit.
