Is SEO dead in 2025? We just Hit #1 in the US for our most important keywords. But now I’m wondering if it even matters.

For over a decade, ranking #1 on Google was one of the most valuable things you could do for your business. Some businesses rely entirely on SEO. Many businesses have shuttered when they lost their SEO traffic. Recent reports suggest Hubspot has lost 50% of their total traffic, because of a major drop in SEO Traffic for blog content.    

The way people search is changing. It has for me and probably for you. 

Search is evolving to LLMs and Social Video. We are already seeing businesses find us through OpenAi searches for ‘best YouTube marketing agency” and through YouTube. 

Many people prefer instant answers from LLMs, over sifting through a bunch of links and ads.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m super excited about ranking #1 for our most important keywords. It will lead to more of our ICP finding us. 

I remember when we weren’t even in the top 100. We were stoked when we first got to the front page. And through much effort, we’ve been steadily creeping up. Shout out to our marketing director Daniel Gogolin leading the charge to make it happen.
