There's something brilliant about seeing the UK finally take AI seriously with real investment and proper leadership.

Today's announcement was massive:

Tom Blomfield appointed as one of the UK's AI ambassadors - his job?

Convince British talent to think bigger and be more ambitious (something he's been passionate about for ages).

He's joined by Raia Hadsell (VP of research at DeepMind) and Simon Johnson (Nobel Prize-winning economist).

James Wise will be chairing a new £500m initiative to back Sovereign AI.

Plus a £25bn private AI investment package 🔥

That's proper commitment.

When you've got Blomfield pushing ambition, DeepMind expertise, and Nobel-level economics backing it up, things get interesting.

There's loads of pessimism in the UK ahead of this week's budget, so seeing this level of AI investment is refreshing.
