I watch the watchers, I direct the learners. 

I am passionate about machine learning. My life's mission is to further the boundaries of what is possible with data science. I spend as much time as I can working with deep learning, NLP, and all forms of data science. I currently have a passion project I am managing where I am combining the power of genetic programming with deep learning to automate network design. I think there is a trend happening in data science where human expertise and creativity are being replaced by powerful new methods (i.e. deep learning, big data). 

I am most well known for my machine learning work with the data science community and with HireVue. With the community, I enjoy posting opinions on jobs and tutorials on ML methods. I also enjoy speaking and presenting to all types of audiences. For HireVue I joined them as their first data scientist and was able to partner with engineering to build out one of the first video interview prediction engines called HireVue Insights. Since starting there I was able to help build out a data science team and together we "boldly go where no man has gone before". That product has been out for the past two years and has seen fantastic use cases and growth where large Fortune companies dramatically reducing time to hire from 6 weeks to 6 days. I love my machine learning journey and the bizarre twisted path I took to get where I am today.

To be clear I still work at Dataiku, love the product and the people. I will also be a podcast host for the Atomic Soul Podcast where I will explore the very things driving humanity forward. This isn’t your average “AI is taking over our civilization” show - it’s something much more rare that’s sure to make you reevaluate your perspective on controversial topics. Each week we’ll hear from the world’s most interesting people, like corporate giant execs and people bending the mold. It’s at this very intersection of tech and the brain where we expand our consciousness.

A Big data competition to showcase Utah’s growing Big Data community and what the AWESOME Utah tech community can do! My team was able to win the health equity challenge by providing a custom algorithm to estimate user risk profiles based on historical medical transaction data. The algorithm demonstrated is robust, scalable, and GPU portable.

Hey everyone,
At my core, I am a deep-tech innovator, and I've just discovered something significant in the AI space. Have you ever had a 'HOLY SHIT!' moment with technology? I've had several (hedge fund, HireVue, Zeff, etc..), and this is undoubtedly the most groundbreaking yet. I'm fully committed to dying on this tech hill with the misfits, the crazy engineers who can work miracles in 48hrs. This will be my ultimate endeavor, this will be my purpose. Following the successful sale of my previous startup to DataRobot, I am excited to announce my third tech venture. I aim to bridge the vast gap between today's Large Language Models (LLMs) and practical Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).

This venture is poised to transform the mindset by shifting from prompt engineering to goal engineering. Starting off I see feats in AI that remain unparalleled and unpublicized by others. While most LLMs falter at basic planning, our goal is to empower them to orchestrate complex journeys, metaphorically speaking, from the Earth to the Moon and back. To be involved with a company's biggest decisions.

The concept of 'stealth' startups has never appealed to me; I find it rather unadventurous. My strategy is to openly share our progress and vision, illustrating how we're advancing rapidly while others progress at a snail's pace. Although the timing isn't right to reveal everything, as I'm currently engaging with strategic investors, potential co-founders, and customers, I want my network to be the first in the know. I'm launching a deep-tech AI startup with the ambition to become the fastest-growing company in the field within the next two years. Right now, we're focused on gaining traction and validation, which hinges on our first five employees, customers, and the right investors.

The mixed blind bias algorithm is a new algorithm that offers tremendous break through in nonthreaded control state estimation. This is popular in semiconductor process control.

The X-algorithm is a new type of optimizer where the code base evolves to improve. The X Algorithm is no longer nature inspired unlike all of its predecessors. In fact the X Algorithm is unique because it uses advanced optimization programming techniques to completely rewrite itself. The X Algorithm today will share minimal similarities with the X Algorithm tomorrow. The machine has started running. Learning from a large library of benchmark and customer problems to achieve metaheuristic perfection. The speed of progress is now beyond human inspiration.

This is a project I've been working on for the last few years. The idea is anyone, in any programming language, should be able to move their code and data to the cloud in a few minutes and run world class non-convex/convex solvers on their data in the cloud
