Responsible for client private infrastructure cloud rollouts using VMWare vSphere5 and associated technologies. Design and implementation of a number of highly available and resilient infrastructure platforms. Fibre Channel and iSCSI performance optimisation across a large number of virtual platforms. 

Achieved cost savings and ongoing support reductions for clients through environment simplification and increased virtualisation or PaaS/SaaS/Cloud adoption.

Solutions Delivery Manager

UnitingCare Health

Managed a team of five infrastructure engineers responsible for a medical network across four major Queensland hospitals. Provided senior technical assistance to clinical and financial application teams supporting Cerner, Oracle and SAP in addition to general financial and payroll systems.

Project manager and lead technical resource on a SAN replacement and business continuity project. Installed and configured an EMC VNX5300 storage array with 45TB capacity.  Migrated a number of key corporate and medical systems including Windows 2003/2008 File, Email and SQL servers in addition to SAP Clusters and AIX Application and Oracle DB Servers.  The project was completed ahead of schedule with no service interruption or unplanned downtime.

Infrastructure Team Leader

National Museum of Science and Industry

Internally promoted to Service Delivery Manager and Lead Technician for the UK’s National Railway Museum and National Media Museum.  Was responsible for managing a countrywide network and server platform supporting 800 front-of-house and back-of-house staff members. 

A $300,000AUD Cisco Call Manager 7 implementation to replace a failing analogue PBX;
A multi-site backup consolidation project, replacing a number of isolated backup servers with a single BackupExec platform;
A $75,000AUD investment in Apple server infrastructure to allow network based deployment, centralised control and management and single-sign-on (SSO) against an incumbent 2003 Active Directory system.

In addition, I acted as Lead Technician ensuring the reliable provision of 30+ Windows 2003/2008 servers and associated AD/DHCP/WINS/DFS/SQL/IIS services. Managed a site-wide Cisco WIFI system with WIFI LAN controller and 10 access points supplying private and public networks.

IT Service Delivery Manager

Assigned overall technical accountability for a national IT network within the UK, located across five heritage sector sites. Assisted with escalated technical issues, functioned as a member of the change advisory board (CAB) and owned most server, security or internet hosting incidents, problems or changes. Led a number of major projects including:

A 20TB backup migration project from NetBackup to BackupExec;
Planned and implemented a business wide migration of file storage towards a Microsoft Distributed file system (DFS);
A firewall consolidation project moving away from isolated Cisco PIX firewalls towards a centrally managed Checkpoint FW1 system.

Functioned as the department’s primary liaison with the NMSI web platform team, assisting with the technical implementation of the ‘SiteCore’ content management system running the primary museum website.  Promoted to ICT Service Delivery Manager and Lead Technician for the NMSI’s UK North operation.

1) SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transformation) algorithm was used to extract
high pass responses from the photo and sketch of a corresponding face called as
feature points using gradient based techniques. These feature points were
described using a vector called as feature vector and matching pair of photo and
sketch is the one which gives the nearest neighbour distance.

2) SURF (Speeded Up Robust Features) algorithm was used to extract high pass
responses from the photo and sketch of a corresponding face called as feature
points using Haar Transformation.

3) A sketch of an individual was matched against a gallery of photos of known
individuals using nearest neighbour distance. The photo which returned the
minimum distance gave the best match.

4) Tuning of parameters of above two algorithms for better results and comparison of the algorithm were the key responsibilities.

5) Softwares used: MATLAB R2013a.

Final Year Project On Digital Sketch To Photo Matching

1) People can use the web browser and can give their complaints, which is taken up
by the employee of specified department.

2) XML database was used and searching through database was done using text
search feature.

3) Administrative Task Scheduler using CRON time & stored procedures was
used for periodic report generation.

4) RESTful web service for login of user for future expansion with another system.

5) Notification system was made using triggers and stored procedures.

6) Use of asynchronous email and SMS sending for conveying information and
verification.

7) Registration was possible using either email or mobile number.

8) Internationalization of the front end and jasper reports was also provided.

9) Technologies used: HTML5, CSS3, XML, JSP, Spring MVC, Hibernate,
Javascript, AJAX, jQuery, JASPER reports.

10) Softwares used: IBM Rational Software Architect, Eclipse IDE v3.7, IBM DB2
