These numbers made me quit my agency recruiting job:

When I first read The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod, one line hit me hard.
His mentor asked, “Are you exercising?”
Hal said, “I’m broke, I need money advice.”
The mentor replied, “No. Are you taking care of yourself?”

That stopped me.

Because most business owners chase better tactics, not better habits.
I used to do the same: wake up, check my phone, dive straight into work.
No space to think, no real plan, just reacting.

Hal’s method changed how I start my day.
He called it SAVERS:
Silence. Affirmation. Visualization. Exercise. Reading. Scribing.

I don’t do it perfectly.
But even 5 to 10 minutes in the morning: moving, breathing, reflecting, changes everything.

19 years as an electrical engineer. 

Zero recruiting experience.

He loved his industry (AEC) but wanted to build something of his own.

Split-fee platforms always look like a shortcut at first.

I get why people try them.
You see open roles, think, “If I can just place one or two, I’ll build momentum.”

And sometimes you do land one.
