I used to often strive to be perfect

In business and life 

Until I realised perfection doesn't exist

Only Progress does

How can transparency lead to 100% YOY growth?

Why is perfectionism a problem for innovators?

How I learnt To Never Give UP And to Never Give In

I wasn't born persistent

I became persistent

I wasn't born resilient

I became resilient

After I had tried and failed at business twice

I became resilient because

I realised there was no other way

Other than to follow my unique purpose

If I wanted to be Happy!

I realised Happiness comes from

Fulfillment

And I realised the problem in life

Most of us are unfulfilled

We are either unfulfilled

Because we haven't found 

our unique purpose

Or we have found our unique purpose

But we are struggling to get results

I gave up twice which ruined my happiness

And set me back years

I gave up because I didn't have a Game Plan

And I went back to the safety

Of the corporate world 

Which was the biggest mistake I ever made

Because inside my soul died

And I became desperately unhappy

I look back at pictures from that time

And I was dying inside

I remember being in a hotel in Bangladesh

Crying on the floor

I was employed to make fast fashion

Yet I was an IMPACT Entrepreneur

How could this have happened ??

This ONLY happened because I had given up

I hadn't had the Game Plan

So I couldn't trust the process

I also hadn't invested

In real champions to guide me

I tried to save money

And do it Alone or with Pro Bono Mentors

The problem was

Cutting Corners wasted time

Pro Bono Mentors are awesome

if they have a Proven Game Plan

If they don't they waste time

Getting you from A to B

I gave up because I ran out of time

Because I had not invested

In Expertise

To help me transform my innovation into 

A sustainable business

Sustainable for myself 

And Sustainable for the world

The thing is with business

We can't do it alone

For the simple reason

Why is living one's purpose crucial for business success?

How I Learnt to Overcome My Fear Around Money

I really don't like to talk about genders

But this is where my story today begins

But not where it ends

As a Woman, I was told from an early age

I don't understand Money

I don't understand Profit is Sanity

I don't understand Cash is King

And So here's the thing

When we are told we don't understand

We learn to NOT understand

We learn to give our power away

We Give UP

We outsource

We disown our responsibility

Money is power and power can be daunting

For a Woman and I am sure for Men too

Because I was told 

I Didn't understand Money 

Then I felt shame about making money

I would literally feel paralysed

Like Fight or Flight wanting to run away

When it came to looking at a spreadsheet

I left managing my money to others

And this was my biggest mistake

Why?

Because people don't care like we do

If we give our power away people can 

Let us down

Because I didn't focus on my numbers

I couldn't see 

HOW I was WINNING

Money Managers, I have met

Have pointed out the obvious

But not the opportunity

For example

The opportunity that when you get clear

I first became an Innovator

5. Hand Loom Woven Selvedge Denim

6. Carbon Offset shipments

7. Finishing without harmful chemicals

8. Living wage Garment Making

9. Sustainable Packaging

So with ALL this Innovation

Why was this so hard to sell?
