From a 5-year-old dreaming with a typewriter to building a global SEO empire... My journey has been anything but conventional. I help ambitious founders and startups achieve explosive growth through strategic SEO. My agency, SWAT SEO, has helped companies reach 7-figure exits, including some of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in the market. But it wasn't always like this... In 2009, I was commuting hours each day to a startup in London, barely making ends meet. After being taken advantage of during an "internship" (despite 10 years of experience).. I made a decision that changed everything: I bet on myself. Started with a simple travel guide about Lisbon (when nobody knew about it). That single website grew into a network of travel guides generating $250K/year in passive income. I rolled the earnings into a Travel Startup (Viabam) and $500,000 in revenue in the first year. Then COVID hit. Everything travel-related collapsed overnight. Instead of giving up, I spotted an opportunity: Helping tech companies dominate their markets through SEO. Today, I run a specialized SEO agency that: ✅ Helped Tweet Hunter and Taplio achieve 7-figure exits ✅ Scaled multiple SaaS companies to 7-figures in ARR ✅ Built systems generating $100K+ yearly in passive income ✅ Developed the SCORE framework for predictable SEO growth What makes us different? We're not just consultants - we're a SWAT team that combines: ✅ Editorial expertise (former journalist) ✅ Technical mastery (20+ years in digital) ✅ Proven systems (that work across industries) ✅ Focus on revenue (not just rankings) My mission is simple: To help 100 companies build unstoppable SEO machines that generate predictable growth month after month. One of my clients spent $100K on AI content. Sharp decline graph. Ugly graph. Then we rebuilt their entire AI content strategy. Doubled. Like this post, and I'll DM you a vid with the explanation. (Also: how to use AI better)
I built a site that now gets 1,7000,000 visits every year. 🤌🏼 I didn't do anything special. Just one foundational step most SEOs skip: building a solid Topical Map FIRST. This single approach has worked for every successful project I've launched. Want to replicate this with AI in minutes instead of weeks? 💬 Comment to get the link (this is the exact prompt that I use to build this in less than 10 miutes)
Your customers search for more than just your name: "[Brand] reviews" "[Brand] alternatives" "[Brand] login page" "[Brand] customer support" "Is [Brand] legit?" Error messages from your product Each query without YOUR content is sending potential customers elsewhere. I've seen startups lose 30% of high-intent traffic because competitors control these results. Create dedicated pages for every brand-related query you can imagine.
𝗦𝗘𝗢 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴. There are too many options: Keyword research Tech stack Technical setup Copywriting, etc. 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. Use the Epicenter as your guide. The Epicenter is your product or service. 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗮 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁. You have a line of customers—are you sending them to your "pizza cooking classes"? No, you won't. You're selling pizza. Margarita or Pepperoni—take it or leave it. This is where you start, not on classes about healthy ingredients for pizza. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲. For some reason, many start at the Periphery — they've been told is easier. But no, it is not. You don't 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 with "Top of Funnel" content—you start at the Epicenter. 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲: 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝗘𝗢 Core Offering: "Hotel in Paris city center" Then you expand: "Hotel with breakfast included in Paris city center" "Hotel with free parking and breakfast included in Paris city center" Make the best possible work at the Epicenter because it’s your foundation—it's the DNA your site gets imprinted with. 𝗧𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝘀 – 𝗔 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗮𝘆 Use your Topical Map as guidance. You start with your main topic ("Hotel in Paris city center") and then branch out: 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁: Best Neighborhood to sleep in Paris city center Safest Areas in Paris city center What to do in Paris city center 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁: Hotel + "amenity" in Paris city center Reviews of your Hotel Hotel near "Landmark" in Paris 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀: Hotels for big families in Paris city center Hotels with pets in Paris city center Hotels in Paris under $100 Most people start at the Periphery and then realize they can't make money there. So, they move to the Epicenter and become rich. If you started in the Periphery—don't worry—you can still pivot and find success. And if you need help getting to the Epicenter, I got you. You never check your Google Search Console? Well, you should....this is why Google Search Console reveals what analytics can't: ✅ Keywords people are actually using to find your site ✅ Where you're ranking ✅ Which pages Google struggles to index The real power comes from using GSC data to identify quick-win opportunities that most sites overlook. For example, I recently found a client was ranking #11 for a high-traffic keyword. With a few strategic on-page tweaks, we pushed it to position #3, increasing monthly traffic by 5,000 visitors. Here's what you should check weekly: ✅ Keywords ranking in positions 4-20 (these are your low-hanging fruit) ✅ Pages with indexing issues (fix these immediately) ✅ Clicks vs. impressions ratios (look for low CTR pages to optimize) ✅ Mobile vs. desktop performance gaps ✅ Core Web Vitals for page experience issues The most successful SEO strategies aren't built on complex tactics. Just the basics that ALWAYS work.
walking saved my life. it has given me a sense of purpose, increased my empathy for nature and fellow humans. it has lowered my blood glucose and it's my heartbeat increaser. walking is my daily meditation. it's my anchor to the present moment. it's the idea extractor method for my noisy head. it's the soul searching machine for when I'm lost. walking is life. you can see with clear eyes what's around you, who you share with in your neighborhood, what nature surrounds your space. walking had taken me to amazing places. from a local park to random small villages in Japan, to the big cities of Spain, to the beauty of the Scottish Highlands. it's my two-wheeler joy spinner for the unknown, and the rejoice of a revisited city. walking is my holistic medicine. it can be yours, too. if you have any doubt, just walk. -- I'm the author of the illustration— please credit me if you use it .

How I drove 120K visits in 5 months (Most founders miss this simple growth hack) Want to know how I helped a startup go from zero to 120K monthly visits? Let me show you the exact process we used. I recently worked with an AI SaaS startup that needed serious traffic growth. Here's our winning strategy: 1. Built a detailed topical map Created pillar pages and content clusters Covered every angle of their niche Left no stone unturned 2. Collaborated closely with the client Understood their unique viewpoints Aligned content with their brand voice Focused on conversion-driven topics 3. Developed a precise content calendar Mapped out 5 months of content Maintained consistent publishing Tracked performance weekly 4. Enhanced rankings continuously Monitored Google Search Console Adjusted strategy based on quick wins Doubled down on what worked The result? Not just 120K visits - the startup later exited for 7 figures. The secret wasn't just content. It was the systematic approach to topical authority. Want these results for your startup? Send me a DM with the word "TOPICAL" to get help.
⛔️ Don't Buy Backlinks! Most sites waste $1-3K/mo before their foundation is ready. Better first moves: ✅ Content Architecture ✅ Map user journeys with precision ✅ Optimize your internal linking Save that link budget until your site can actually leverage it.

SEO writing 101: (The 80/20 for optimising your content) Title Tag: - Use it only for the main headline - Include the primary keyword (ideally at the start) - Keep titles unique and compelling to avoid content cannibalisation URL: - Incorporate the primary keyword phrase - Keep URLs short and avoid repeating keywords across different URLs Headings (H1, H2, H3): - Structure content with H1s, H2s, and H3s in a hierarchy for better crawlability - H1s should contain the main keyword, H2s for long-tail keywords in multi-section articles, H3s for subtopics Internal Linking: - Add relevant internal links - Use descriptive anchor text related to the target article Meta Descriptions: - Include primary and secondary keywords - Craft descriptions to encourage click-throughs without keyword stuffing Images: - Use original images for better ranking - Ensure ALT text includes primary and secondary keywords but remains descriptive and unique - Name media files with the primary keyword User Experience: - Break up large text blocks for readability - Utilise bullets, lists, and headings - Embed relevant YouTube videos to enhance content with multimedia, improving page dwell time Avoid Duplicate Content: - Ensure content uniqueness within your site - Update old articles by adding new sections rather than subtracting content (unless correcting inaccuracies) Captivating Openers: - Use questions, narratives, research findings, or unexpected claims to grab attention (but keep some information withheld to spark curiosity) Want to turn your SEO into a 7-figure sales channel?
