Talent Today is a technology enabled recruitment agency born out of and powered by the Furlearn community.

Having supported, trained and motivated 1000’s of jobseekers and hiring managers in 2020 it became clear that traditional recruitment was outdated, unfair and broken. 
So we worked with our community to change it.
And together we created something different that sits at the convergence of people and technology and works for customers on both sides of the hiring equation.

I am responsible for building a FinTech recruitment practice specialising in supporting our existing clients and generating new relationships within the FinTech and Mobile Banking sectors. I also host 2-3 FinTech-focused events each year as well as working with start-ups in helping to showcase their fledgling ideas.

At present I work with several FinTech clients as well as leading challenger banks and payment companies where I have provided skilled staff resources to build solutions in the architecture environment. In addition, the resources that I provided helped with the implementation of large-scale digital transformation programmes for investment companies, hedge funds, and Fintech organisations.
My team and I use a consultative and friendly approach with our clients, taking the time to develop a deep understanding of their technical and character requirements before devising and delivering targeted IT recruitment campaigns on their behalf.

First charity event of the year!

This year my chosen charity is Cure Leukaemia and I’m raising money all year for a little 4 year old girl called Willow ! 

Today we are walking from Derby hospital to Nottingham hospital where young willow has been cared for in her battle with Leaukimia 

Great to get first challenge in motion in the Road to New York !

Sometimes the stars just align! 

Last year I went for a run on holiday in sunny Tenerife and I saw a bar sign saying the words "New York, New York"

My first thought thought was The TCS New York City Marathon. I can still remember making a video post there and then where I said "I dont know when it is and I dont know how to get a ticket, but i'm running it" It was a done deal in my brain! 

That post brought me into contact with the amazing Ivan Merrell and inspirational James McLaughlin of Cure Leukaemia. I met with the charity and learnt how devastating this blood disease is, but I also learnt how close that they're to finding the Cure!

I was then invited by the family of little Willow (4) to meet for a cuppa at their house and I was blown away by Jess and Craig's strength whilst dealing with so many worries at once. 

I'll be honest, I cried a lot on the way home and looked forward to picking my kids up from school that day. 

On Saturday we walked from Derby Hospital to Nottingham Hospital and the challenge raised over £2,500. 

I am now starting my own journey to raise as much money as possible for this incredible charity and in support of little Willow and other children/people/ familes who are suffering with the effects of Leaukaemia. 

Craig is joining me on this very difficult marathon through the streets on New York City and it turn's out he is a massive Aston Villa Football Club fan. The stars were clearly aligned!

When tough days can become good days!

My 8 year old son asked to come for a run with me to help me with my marathon training. 

I played along and said okay then Jake thinking he would give in after half a mile

However I was massively mistaken and humbled.

Not one moan, not one bit of sweat and he smashed 4.5 miles out in his first ever road run.

I however, was struggling with the hills and looked like I took a hot shower 😂

Possibly one of the best moments of my parenting life so far.

Theres always a positive to be found from a tough day and it offen comes from exercise !
