It's one of my favorite list growth methods and it's a bit of a doozy so grab your notebook...

Plus, you can use it without spending a single dollar on ads.

If you're deep into the email marketing industry you've probably heard the term before...

"List Swaps"

Where you find a partner that has an overlap with the audience that your business serves...

And you agree to "swap lists" for 5-7 days and send emails to their list from you.

Kinda like a guest appearance on a sitcom—but for your email list.

During that 5-7 day agreed promo window, you send a series of killer emails either pointing to a free lead magnet or a low ticket product that their audience would love. 

Ideally it's specifically tailored to their audience, but any high performing offer/lead magnet will work. 

Depending on the size of their list, you're likely to nab a few hundred to a few thousand easy inside that week. 

Not too shabby as far as list growth goes, huh?

Well, here's the second kicker (and how we're getting paid for these new subscribers too)...

Instead of letting them off the hook after they opt in, we immediately introduce them to a low-cost "upgrade" to the offer they've just taken.

That offer has a few upsells behind it and a chance for any customers to book a call with our sales team.

For this promo it looked like this:

- Book A Call Page for All buyers

It's a win win. 

We get to grow our list for free...

They get an agreed upon affiliate commission for front and backend sales...

And their audience gets great value they normally wouldn't see.

It's perfect.

And that $1+ per subscriber I mentioned earlier?

That still doesn't count any of the revenue we'll be collecting from these new leads in the next 7-30 days...

Not to mention that off these first ~1000 leads—we've already made 2 high ticket sales ($6k program) on the backend too. 

Still asking yourself how you can pull this off on your own?

If you've got ANY kind of online business, odds are you know other folks who do too.

List out 5-10 that have the best alignment with your audience/offer

Create a killer lead magnet and/or low ticket offer for their audience

Hook it up to your best sales or high-ticket funnel

Write 7-10 emails for them to send

And voilà...

You wanna hear something wild…

I was in a very similar position to the one you’re in right now at the beginning of this year. 

I’d literally been printing cold hard cash for my clients based on two simple levers…

1. Add interested subscribers to our email list

2. Sell them our offers with emails

That’s it. 

As long as we got more subscribers and sent more emails,. Revenue went up. 

Crazy, right?

The funniest part is, no matter how simple that teeny tiny little formula for online success is…

It’s not “knowing what to do” that matters.

And once I did…

The results were wild. 

I had it in my head that it would take me hours to refresh creatives each week, weeks to create new lead magnets and front end offers, and months to start actually liquidating on the investment I was making in growing my list. 

Just a few months later…

5 creatives that took me 5 minutes a piece to create…

1 book that took less than a few hours to compile…

And 2,928 leads from ads that took me 30 minutes to write and launch…
