In 2017 I branched out … I co-founded a telehealth website where we helped people overcome excess drinking through medication-assisted treatment and personal development coaching.

What’s the link to lawyering?

As a lawyer, I defend against injury cases that require a deep understanding of medicine and psychology. 

I’ve deposed over 300 doctors and mental health providers, diving into medical and psychological concepts at their level.

I transferred that skill set, along with years of solving problems for clients, into the wellness and personal growth space.

I applied my analytical skills, the same I use to dissect real-world, complex legal cases, to pick apart the science behind personal development.

I crafted not just medical solutions (through the doctors we contracted with) but also systemized, actionable, personal growth training for our patients.

And we didn’t just aim to restore patients to an average level of health...

I'm a lawyer and entrepreneur and blend insights from both to write about personal growth.

My specialty has been litigating catastrophic injury cases where I've consulted with or questioned hundreds of expert witnesses in medicine, psychology, engineering and economics. 

I also defend lawyers and other professionals facing malpractice claims. 

Inspired by the ecosystem of the startup culture in Silicon Beach (Santa Monica, Venice), in 2016 I co-founded a telehealth startup, and worked directly with our doctors' patients as a coach helping them transform into healthier, happier people.

Other stuff that’s happened on my journey so far:

• Peer-nominated Southern California Super Lawyer (2012-2024), putting me in the top 5% of lawyers in Southern California. 

• Invited speaker (major insurance events, bar groups and law firms) on advanced litigation strategy, law practice management, monetization and maintaining an ethical law practice.

• Grew a solo, high-output law practice starting with zero clients to handling multi-million-dollar cases for several national insurance company and large corporate clients within 3 years.

• Leveraged my knowledge of medicine to co-found a telehealth startup (completely bootstrapped) in a tightly-regulated market (addiction medicine) operating in 27 states at its peak. We used a monthy subscription revenue model and, after hitting our growth curve, generated more than one-half-million in revenue inside of 3 years and treated over 400 patients.
