I quit.

Exactly today, 4 years ago, I quit my dream job.

I didn’t just leave a job, I left:

- Benefits
- Colleagues 
- Financial security

Was it easy? No!
Did I know that it would work? No!
Did I fear to fail? Yes!
Was I naive? Yes

Would I do it again? Yes! 

Here are my 14 most important lessons learned:

1) Self-care is non-negotiable: 
Prioritize self-care to maintain your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

2) Balance passion with practicality: 
Passion drives you, but practicality sustains you. 

3) Fear It, but do It anyway: 
Acknowledge your fears, but don't let them stop you from taking that leap.

4) The power of adaptability: 
The ability to quickly respond to market trends, feedback, and personal insights is invaluable. 

5) Celebrate small wins: 
Acknowledge and celebrate your own milestones, big or small, they fuel your motivation.

6) Your branding is key: 
Invest time and resources in building a brand that authentically represents your values and vision.

7) Trust the journey: 
Trust the process, learn from the journey, and remain open to where it takes you.

8) Selling vs. Engaging: 
People love to buy but hate being sold to. The less you push, the more you attract.

9) Adapt and experiment: 
If one approach fails, try another. Continuous learning and adaptation are key.

10) Consistency over Intensity: 
Turning spontaneous efforts into daily disciplines will get you big wins over time.

11) Authenticity wins: 
Be genuine. Your unique stories and perspectives are what people resonate with.

12) Visibility matters: 
If you're not seen, you're not considered. Stay visible to potential clients and connections.

13) Focus on Quality AND Quantity: 
Initially, quantity teaches you what quality looks like. Learn from your output.

14) Don't chase perfection. 
Consistent effort and practice refine your approach. Perfection is not required.

10 Steps to transform your LinkedIn (without posting content)

Move from a static bio to making a lead-generating machine.

1- Define your Ideal Client Persona (ICP). 
Who do you want to attract?

2- Revamp your profile. 
Position yourself as an expert in a language your ICP understands.

3- Use the advanced search field.
Find your ICP using multiple filters.

4- Save the URL of the list in your favourites.

5- Open the list daily and send 10 personalized connection messages daily.

6- Send a welcome message a few days later. 
(Don’t pitch, but look for commonalities)

7- Click the bell. Be notified about their posts.

8- Engage. Like and comment meaningfully on their posts.

9- Start a conversation. Look for opportunities in the DMs (posts, comments, milestones, anniversaries, new jobs, birthdays, etc.)

10- Take it to the next level. Look for opportunities to arrange a virtual meeting or call.

Pro Tip:
- Schedule 20 minutes in your calendar to repeat steps 5-10 daily.

Remember:
- Consistency is key
- The goal is to build relationships, not to sell
