I wish school taught me
(master in < 7 min) 👇

1. Embrace rejection, you'll hear "no" way more times than "yes".

2. Appearances matter, take care of yourself physically and mentally.

3. Your purpose is to help your prospects make the best decision possible.

4. To become more confident, gather evidence of your success.

5. Amazing testimonials will close more sales than you ever will.

6. Embrace pauses, they're powerful. Don't fear them.

7. Be enthusiastic and energetic. No one likes boring and flat people.

8. Once you get momentum going, don't stop.

9. If you assume objections, your prospect will definitely make them real.

10. You should be in control of the conversation at all times.

11. Listen way more than you speak.

12. To get the right answers, ask the right questions.

13. Be competent.

14. If they say that they need to think about it, don't just say "ok".

15. Always schedule your follow-up in a precise and timely manner.

16. Follow-up is boring and tedious, but vital if you want to make more money.

17. Don't work with clients that are not a good fit for you.

18. Don't sell products or services that you 
don't believe in.

19. Never end a call without having a clear picture of what the next steps are for both you and your prospect.

20. Get mentors. You don't know what you don't know.

21. Prevent objections. Don’t wait for them.

22. Record your sales calls and watch them at a later stage. You'll improve a lot.

23. Needy people struggle to close deals.

24. Learn constantly

25. If no one ever objects to your pricing, you're not charging enough.

26. You can't sell anything to anyone. That only happens in movies.

27. Don't interrupt or talk over your prospect.

28. Delete "ifs" and "maybes" from your vocabulary. Always assume that you already closed the sale.

29. Acknowledge your prospect's concerns. Be emphatic.

30. Your prospect is not your friend. Stay professional.

31. You sell with emotions, not logic. Push their pain points and amplify their desires.

4 learnings of posting for 900 days in a row on LinkedIn. 👇


October 2021, I started posting daily on LinkedIn after a lunch with Guillaume Moubeche

He said: “Just write, and post daily. It’s hard but simple”

So I did.

Here's 4 learnings:

1- Content creation is about Framework/Analysis/Consistency.

I’ve set myself to post every single day (Mon-Sun).

So far, I didn’t deviate.

The first months were hard.

- ”What am I gonna write about?”
- ”Is it really useful?”
- ”Why am I listening to G.?” 😅 (jk)

Then, I started seeing some results. 

I was pumped

My perspective about content creation changed completely.

I progressively implemented some structure. 

I understood how it can impact my life over the long run.

The most important here is: “Keep Writing, don’t give up”

It’s a journey.

2- I stopped “waiting for a creative moment”. 

I force the creativity. 

I seat on my chair.

I write about what I live and experiment

The good and the bad

Not everything I write is gonna be amazing.

I also won’t post everything I write.

But every piece of writing is a learning to be better at it.

I remember an interview of Lil Wayne (Rapper - 211 awards nominations) 

A journalist asked him: “How have you been able to produce so many hits”

Lil Wayne said: “I create daily and have hardwares full of junk. For 1 hit, you have 1000 songs created.”

Same. I’ve a Notion full of junk. 🙃

Write. Test. Post. Repeat

3- It opened doors that I thought were openable. 

- Your clients see you daily
- Your prospects see you daily 
- People from your industry see you daily 

Thanks to the content, 

People understand what I’m doing,

What they can learn and/or get from me as a professional.

I’m building my own credibility.

I share my world, my adventure with them.

Thanks to it, I’ve met clients, colleagues, inspiring people.

But mostly, I’m helping people down the line.

When I get a message saying I’ve impacted someone's business, 

Huge satisfaction.

4- Creating content is technical. 

At first, I didn’t have a strategy. 

I got some inspiration from Lara Acosta , Luke Matthews, Matt Barker ,  etc...

I built a OK content strategy. 

Got fed up of it.

I started working with Matt.

We implemented a solid content strategy at the end of Jan 2024.

In just 3 months, that strategy helped me make ~200k US.

I stopped paying too much attention to the views / likes.

Now I care of the posts’ impacts and how many inbound leads I generate/week.

That’s it. :).

I feel lucky to live in 2024 and be part of that booming content economy. 

Social Media and content creation are unfair advantages for people who dare putting the work.

7 years ago I landed in Singapore with my backpack. 👇 
 
Only the hope for a better future. 
 
- I was born and raised in Brittany, France 
- My parents are both French 
- I’m the 2nd of 2 kids 
- After high school I studied in ESC Rennes and Skema Business School 
- Did an exchange semester in 2013 in Hangzhou China which totally opened my eyes 
- When I left, I promised myself I would come back to Asia 
- My first job was at Societe General in Paris 
- I wanted to spice things up and live abroad again 
- When I applied to Rocket Internet for a position in Germany they called me to say: “You’ve been to China, there’s is this gig in Singapore, Interested?” 
 
I was. 
 
I left my life in Europe end of 2016 to find my way to Asia 
 
Why Singapore ? 
 
- opportunities 
- Interactions 
- People 
- Infrastructure 
- Connection with China and the rest of Asia 
- Ease of doing business 
- The proximity to nature 
 
All things that I was looking for and felt my future should be made of. 
 
My timeline looks like this: 
 
- 2016 (Dec) packed my life from France to Singapore 
- 2017 (Jan to Dec): Worked for Rocket Internet 
- 2017 (Dec): Started at Accelerasia 
- 2020 (Jan): Left Accelerasia 
- 2020 (Feb-April): Start at EF 
- 2020 (May): Start an outbound lead generation agency with Youssef 
- 2020 (June) : Met my wife 
- 2023 (March): Start Scalelist 
- 2023 (May): Got Married 
- 2024 x2 our size 
- 2025 ... 
 
Singapore is my home and I have no intention to change this.
