Human creativity beats algorithms every time. Humans can turn strangers into collaborators and create an irreplaceable bond. The WEF beginning of the year called it: Collaboration in the Age of Intelligence. This is how only humans can do it: 1. Cultural fluency Technique: Local Context ↳ How it Helps: Adds meaning by reflecting local stories and histories. 2. Ethical imagination Technique: Moral Judgment ↳ Builds trust by considering values and ethics in campaigns. 3. Collaborative alchemy Technique: Community Projects ↳ Fosters bonds through shared vulnerability and participation. Algorithms are great at spotting patterns. They analyse data and predict trends. Yet, they lack the human touch. AI can process vast amounts of information quickly. It can recognise sentiment in social media posts. But it misses the nuances of culture and emotion. Humans feel what AI cannot. Why Connection Outlasts Optimization: ↳ Emotional bandwidth: While AI detects sentiment, humans feel it. Campaigns with human-crafted stories achieve 3.2x higher empathy ratings. ↳ Adaptive innovation: 84% of breakthrough ideas emerge from intuitive leaps, not data patterns. ↳ Ethical guardrails: Humans correct algorithmic biases, like reworking AI-generated slogans that inadvertently stereotyp While AI excels at efficiency, it struggles with unpredictability. The best ideas often come from intuitive leaps, not just data patterns. This brilliant artist work reinforces a timeless truth: technology elevates, but humans give everything a meaning. This is the Magic of AI in healthcare. It saves thousands of lives with early detection and better diagnosis in pancreatitis from a CT scan. Only 7% of patients are living beyond five years when diagnosed late. Early detection increases the five-year survival rate to as high as 50%, particularly if diagnosed at stages I or II when surgical removal is possible. 1. Faster Diagnoses AI tools are speeding up the process. • A study in 2024 showed AI cuts diagnosis time by 26.8% for junior radiologists. • Senior radiologists see a 32.7% reduction. This means patients get treated faster. 2. High Accuracy • Mayo Clinic's AI found pancreatic cancer 475 days earlier than doctors, with 92% accuracy. • Cedars-Sinai's tool was 86% accurate in spotting future pancreatic cancer cases. • The PANDA system is excelling in detecting and classifying pancreatic lesions. These numbers matter- they save lives. 3. Supporting Radiologists AI is not here to replace radiologists. It enhances their skills. AI can spot patterns that humans might miss.. 4. Early Detection AI can identify problems on routine CT scans. This allows for screening of people who show no symptoms. 5. Improved Workflow AI makes radiology work smoother. It can cut costs and improve access to care. AI-powered tools like Google Gemini 2.0 and advanced diagnostic tests such as IMMray™ PanCan-d could enable earlier detection not only for pancreatic cancer but for other hard-to-diagnose diseases. This could revolutionise healthcare globally, especially in underserved regions where access to specialists is limited. Achieving this requires addressing systemic barriers, increasing public awareness, and ensuring equitable access to these technologies worldwide. AI Magic: Your understanding of LLMs. In a world where AI is changing everything, It’s easy to overlook how these models work. Yes, they generate text. And yes, they learn from data. Let’s not ignore that. But understanding their foundation is key to using them effectively. So, this is how the AI magic works with the best visualisation I have seen so far: ☑Tokenization breaks down text into smaller pieces. Embeddings turn those pieces into numbers that machines can understand. ☑Self-attention helps models focus on important words. It allows them to see context in both directions. ☑Feed-forward layers refine what the model learns. They help the model remember patterns and adjust its responses. ☑Iterative deep processing means stacking layers. Each layer builds on the last, creating deeper understanding. ☑Prediction and sampling control how models generate text. These techniques balance randomness with coherence. This architecture lets LLMs tackle complex tasks. It combines attention with deep learning for better results. When you grasp how LLMs function, you unlock their full potential. Understand the basics and you Master AI much easier. Follow Dr. Martha Boeckenfeld for more to Unlock Your Future. ♻️Repost to your network to learn more about neural networks and the insight of AI.

AI Ethics: The Big White Elephant in the Room AI’s going wild: The market is expected to hit —$738 billion in 2028, heading toward $1 trillion in 2030. Animations are just one piece. What was clunky two years ago now feels too real. But while we’re amazed by what it can do, the ethical problems are huge—and nobody’s talking enough about them. Grok3 unfiltered just came out, asking hard questions about AI alignment: how do we make sure AI matches human values and ethics? This isn’t about one model—it’s about the tough choices we face as AI shapes humanity in 2025. Here’s why ethics can’t be pushed aside: 1. Bias in Systems ↳ AI can copy human biases. Studies show facial recognition misidentifies darker skin tones up to 34% more often than lighter ones. ↳ It’s already causing unfair results: in 2018, Amazon scrapped an AI hiring tool that favored men over women because it learned from old hiring data. 2. Privacy Issues ↳ AI needs data—our data. Over 2.5 quintillion bytes of data are created daily, and AI grabs it all, raising red flags. ↳ 2024 Pew Research Center survey found 81% of Americans are concerned about corporate data collection, including AI. 3. Who’s Responsible ↳ When AI and AI Agents messes up, who takes the blame? Not the machine. A survey found 60% of people don’t trust companies to own up to AI mistakes. ↳ We don’t have clear rules yet—only a few countries have solid AI accountability laws as of 2025. 4. Growing Inequality ↳ AI might leave some people behind if access isn’t fair. Only 30% of low-income communities have access to AI-driven tools like online learning, compared to 90% in wealthy areas. ↳ Without ethical rules, the gap grows—AI startups got $50 billion in funding in 2023, but less only a minimal % went to projects for underserved groups. 5. Environmental Harm ↳ AI uses a ton of energy—training one model can emit as much CO2 as five cars over their lifetime. Electricity consumption from data centers, AI, and cryptocurrency could reach double 2022 levels by 2026, according to projections from the International Energy Agency. ↳ By 2030, AI’s energy use could hit 4% of global emissions if we don’t set greener standards now. AI makes 50 to 100 years of innovation into 5 to 10 years in fields like biological sciences. These changes show AI's dual nature. It brings benefits in efficiency and healthcare but also challenges in ethics and job displacement. As AI continues to grow, we must manage its impact on humanity wisely and with Ethics in mind. This book matters now more than ever- we see the Race of AI in new models with Manus AI, Sesame AI, DeepSeek and more. The Next Big Thing: AGI AGI development brings unique challenges. These challenges go far beyond tech. Let me give you my highlights: →AI affects jobs, economies, and our values. The book covers these themes in its first section on Ethics and Philosophy. →Automation could take away 800 million jobs by 2030. This number shows the urgency of exploring labor laws. Chapter 17 looks closely at this issue. It also discusses the economic impacts in Part III. →AGI is complex and unpredictable. Traditional laws may not work. The second section on Law and Policy gives fresh views. It looks at data protection in Chapter 7 and competition law in Chapter 9. →The EU AI Act is a big step. Chapter 12 talks about how it tries to regulate AI systems. Experts call for global structures like an "International AI Governance Organization" to manage AGI. →Technical fixes won't solve everything. We need ethical guidelines. These guidelines help ensure AGI aligns with human values. The book covers AI's role in education, healthcare, media, and public services. It raises questions on how to prevent AGI from worsening inequalities or creating new problems. →This book offers a roadmap for the future. AI challenges go beyond tech. Legal, ethical, and societal issues matter most. In a world where tech often outpaces rules, this book reminds us how we develop AI shapes our future. Diverse perspectives are key to getting it right. Thank you, Nathalie Smuha, for making these super insightful resources accessible to everyone for free and the authors for guiding us! No AI can help us, if we don't keep our oceans clean. The secret to saving our oceans isn't about technology. It's about action. We must unite to protect marine life. Penguins, turtles and fish caught in trash remind us of the urgent need for change. The scale of the problem is staggering: ↳By 2030, plastic pollution in the oceans is expected to double from 2025 levels to 300 million tons. ↳By 2050, projections suggest there will be more plastic in the sea than fish by mass. ↳The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a notorious example of ocean pollution, contains 1.8 trillion pieces of plastic and covers an area twice the size of Texas. The impact of this pollution on marine ecosystems is huge: ↳At least 555 species of marine life are affected by plastic waste, though the actual number is likely much higher. ↳Plastic pollution causes an estimated $13 billion in annual environmental damage to marine ecosystems. ↳80% of all marine debris found from surface waters to deep-sea sediments is plastic. Rescue operations are vital, but they are not enough. We must stop pollution at its source. This means stopping waster where it’s produced. Technology can help, but it can't replace our need for action. We must remember that Oceans play a vital role in supporting human life, providing nearly half of the Earth's oxygen, serving as a primary food source and regulating climate. Together, we can create a brighter future for our oceans and the creatures that live in them. No AI can help us, if we don't keep our oceans clean. The secret to saving our oceans isn't about technology. It's about action. We must unite to protect marine life. Seals caught in trash remind us of the urgent need for change. Every year, countless seals get tangled in debris. This is a global issue. ↳ Cape Fur seals in South Africa and Namibia face a major threat. From 2018 to early 2020, 347 seals were reported entangled. Only 191 were saved. This shows how serious the problem is. ↳ In the Pacific, Hawaiian monk seals suffer too. Since 1974, 474 monk seals were seen entangled. Plastic fishing gear caused 76% of these cases. But there is hope. ↳ Cleanup efforts have cut entanglement rates by 71% at Pearl and Hermes Reef. This proves that action works. ↳In the Netherlands, seal entanglements have doubled. In 2024, there were 77 cases. Ghost nets caused 88% of these entanglements. The Seal Response Team saved 30 seals, but seven did not survive. These numbers show we need better prevention and rescue methods. Rescue operations are vital, but they are not enough. BUT: We must stop pollution at its source. This means promoting sustainable fishing and better waste management. Technology can help, but it can't replace our need for action. We must remember that Oceans play a vital role in supporting human life, providing nearly half of the Earth's oxygen, serving as a primary food source and regulating climate. Together, we can create a brighter future for our oceans and the creatures that live in them. AI is going wild. Animations are just one part of it. AI changed a lot in the last two years. What was clumsy is now realistic. Grok3 unfiltered just got released and questions AI alignment that refers to the challenge of making AI systems act in ways that reflect human values, goals, and ethics. This reflects the broader state of AI. It's not about the the jungle of individual models, but the impact of AI developments on humanity by 2025. Affecting all aspects of society, economy, and daily life. 1. Economic Impact ↳ AI will boost global GDP by 26% ($15.7 trillion) by 2030. ↳ The global AI market is set to grow by 38% in 2025. 2. Workforce Transformation ↳ AI is creating 7.2 million jobs in the UK from 2017-2037. ↳ It will also replace 7 million existing jobs. ↳ About 55% of companies have adopted AI. 3. Healthcare Advancements ↳ AI is improving diagnostic accuracy. ↳ Tools like PathAI help detect conditions like cancer early. ↳ AI-driven drug discovery speeds up new medications. 4. Societal Changes ↳ By end 2025, AI will drive personalisation in retail, finance, and healthcare. ↳ AI companions will offer emotional support and adapt to users. ↳ Smart homes will learn user behaviors and save energy. 5. Ethical and Social Challenges ↳ Privacy and bias concerns are rising with AI. ↳ Energy for AI could increase carbon emissions by 80%. ↳ Ethical AI frameworks will be crucial to address bias.
