Distraction is death to the writer.

Focus is your freedom.

Choose.

If you want to write well:
Write.

If you want to speak well:
Write.

If you want to think well:
Write.

If you want to earn well:
Write.

If you want to live well:
Write.

If you want to stand out:

Write like you give a damn. Use words with weight. Inject passion, emotion, and personality into every sentence. Avoid dull as dishwater simplicity. Be clever, not just clear.

In other words...

Do everything Grammarly and the gurus tell you NOT to do.

If you want to get good at writing
...start a newsletter

If you want to get good at speaking
...start a podcast

If you want to get good at networking
...start an X account

The key is that before you get good
...You start anyway.

One of the three longest words in English that repeats no letters.

I just read that English is the only major language that has NO guiding body.

The french have the "Académie française",
The Spanish have "Real Academia Española"
The Germans have "Rat für deutsche Rechtschreibung"

All of which control the changing language and what's "real" french etc.

Which is probably why English is far superior to all three.

Ain't no bureaucrat telling me how to write.

Never wait for inspiration.

Commit to perspiration.

Become a great writer.

Read poetry. Practice daily. Copy out masterpieces. Edit everything. Read out loud. Learn rhetoric. Long walks. Think deeply. Live life to the full. Practice some more. Publish.

Stop trying to live longer.

Start living MORE.

You can always make more money.

You can never make more time.

Prioritise accordingly, dear readers.

I don't get people who struggle to come up with ideas like bro, do you not own a book?

Pick one up. Open a random page and read a paragraph. Boom.

New idea right there.

Make it work.

I'm a simple man.

I just want a business where nobody tells me what to do, that earns enough to pay the bills. I don't want the fastest way to earn more money, I want the one that makes me happy in the long run.

You need fewer steps in your morning routine.

And more silence.

That's the secret to creativity.
