Hippocratic AI recently secured $53 million (to a total of $120 million) in funding and are on an impressive course to help Nurses with repetitive tasks do their jobs better and avoid burnout. 

The startup is just in Series A and has already partnered with NVIDIA and developed an architecture that is worthy of thinking carefully about in terms of how LLMs will do pragmatic good in society. What might Agentic AI contribute to the future of healthcare? 

The round was co-led by General Catalyst and Premji Invest, with participation from Memorial Hermann Health System and SV Angel. 

While the majority of Generative AI startups have relatively little value to society in the big picture or the long-term, a few Healthcare related Generative AI startups have a sustainable future.

Apple's WWDC is just weeks away, I cannot wait. 

Because their Generative AI products and features will be revealed with iOS 18 and other details of how their investments have been paying off. 

Historically Microsoft rushes in and implodes, Apple doesn't need to rush when they have such a world-class level of product execution. 

Apple is on pace to bring us the world's best AI-native mobile devices and the first Generative AI native Operating System.

Apple's 2024 AI Problem and Opportunity: M4 Chip

The truth is the AI tools space will take many years to consolidate and new Agentic AI is likely to take the place of the first wave of productivity tools. 

However there has been some consolidation in 2024 among "consumer" AI tools that we use consistently at work, and more more commonly in professional and entrepreneurial settings.

The unprecedented AI data center of alarming magnitude is more complicated than it sounds from an energy, geopolitical and AI chip perspective. 

The consequences of which I find highly alarming and dubious with regards to the U.S. vs. China in the AI arms race.

For OpenAI. If ChatGPT for consumers is slowing or in decline, it might not be all bad. Are Subscriptions even the right business model for this? 

Won't chatbots just became like the internet, something free in the end? Won't "AI be democratized"?

In an interview on Bloomberg Technology, OpenAI's Chief Operating Officer Brad Lightcap said there are now more than 600,000 people signed up to use ChatGPT Enterprise, up from around 150,000 in January.

Is Tesla shedding an entire 10% of global workforce a good sign or a bad sign for the future of Tesla?

That's 14,000 jobs. 

That's a lot of failure for a so-called Technology company. 

So many rumors around Tesla these days, and none of them are positive. 

Did they overhire? Elon Musk sounded overconfident, not so long ago. 

Musk cites duplication of roles and need to reduce cost.

EV maker almost doubled staff in the course of three years.

The world's largest automaker by market value had 140,473 employees globally as of December 2023, its latest annual report shows.  

What now Elon Musk bro? 

If the Chinese State is subsidising BYD's incredible global growth and a wave of other EV makers are coming, there's no competition in "efficiency" for Tesla. 

The U.S. can put "tariffs" and measured "blacklists", it's not a replacement for not being a builder-centric innovator. 

Do note that this is not a good sign either for Rivian, Lucid Motors, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, VWO, Stellantis and other North American and European car manufacturers involved in the production of EVs, hybrids and competing with Chinese EV makers directly globally in the years to come.
