Technical Program Management. Its the craft of solving problems that come from scaled execution of strategically important initiatives. That's a mouth-full! But it just boils down to the fact that TPM's get big complex things done. Having spent a decade in various tech roles, I am able to successfully navigate the complex interdependencies of large initiatives. I practice the core skills of planning, stakeholder management, risk management, communication management, dependency management, system design, and leadership. These can all be summed up in what I call The TPM Craft Framework: Program Management, Technical Versatility, and Leadership. In my newsletter (The TPM Craft), I regularly dive deep into those topics. Outside of my 9-5 I spend time with my family, read books, write, exercise, watch movies....etc. No major special hobbies, mostly just family time. I may not know everything, but I can learn anything.
