How the Idea of Focus translates to Strategic Planning Focus is such an often misunderstood concept. People think focus means saying yes to the thing you've got to focus on. But that's not what it means at all. It means saying "No" or "Not now" to 100 other good ideas that compete with attention in order to create the space to get the really GREAT idea done as fast as possible. And get the benefit that it brings QUICKLY. If it is such a great idea, why would we want to wait or compete with idea #2 or #10 by not saying No or Not Now to those? Get the #1 Strategic Initiative executed "as fast as possible" and take the business benefit from it (you are doing this to impact net profit, right?) and use that to snowball to the next. Rinse & Repeat.

Leadership is: Being impeccable with your word. Following through. If you say you are going to do something, you do it. Believing the Best vs Assuming the Worst of your people and situations Hiring the Best and getting out of the way for people to do what they do best
