In summer 2023 I was going nuts. I was trying to organize my team's social selling efforts on Linkedin. It was a mess. So I decided to fix it. Now we are building the fastest growing Social Selling platform for B2B teams. It helps them grow their network, their reach and visibility and harvest those networks into constant deal flow. Oh and yes, it connects your team's Linkedin activity with Slack, Clay, Zapier, Make, n8n, your CRM and a ton of other tools.

What works for Gary Vaynerchuk (extrovert, high energy, loves chaos) might destroy you (introvert, values calm, needs structure). But the IDEAS behind his success? Those might be solid. The human mind is programmed to follow people, not principles. Chase personalities, not practices. This is the problem with person-centric development...and why I built my practice on ideas, not cultish idolatry: ✓ Choice awareness over positive thinking ✓ Reality creation over manifestation ✓ Linguistic precision over affirmations ✓ Outcome independence over desperation Notice the difference? Ideas are transferable. Personalities aren't. Lots of people will spend months trying to "mirror" Tony Robbins' energy. Then they burn out completely. But if they were to apply Robbins' IDEA of state management in their own way? It could make a massive difference. The guru trap is real. You start believing their personality IS the strategy. You try to become them instead of becoming you. Meanwhile, the actual principles get lost in the shuffle. So if you're into self-improvement (as we all should be)... Try to extract the mechanisms while ignoring the messenger. The best ideas are system-agnostic. They work regardless of who teaches them or how they're packaged. You can either be a hero worshipper or an idea-miner. Choose wisely.

Ever feel like you’re stuck in the endless loop of building someone else’s dream? I remember what it was like, clocking in and out, always wondering: What if I put this same energy into building my own thing? But knowing where to start is tough, so I put everything I’ve learned from launching and scaling SaaS businesses into The SaaS Launchpad. It’s the resource I wish I’d had when I was getting started. Don’t just take my word for it- check out what Val Sopi had to say about it. 1 founder who buys and completes the course by July 7 will get to book a private, one-on-one call with me. Check out the course at saaslaunchpad.co.
The very reason why you should NOT EVER mass DM yozu target audience with a silly pitch slap sequence plus annoying follow-ups. LinkedIn isn't email. LinkedIn doesn't forget. You will have a burned network of people around you. That's what a 1% success rate means. It means 99% burned contacts. For ever.

I swear im not doing it on purpose but every freaking week I land on a new wild story to tell y’all. Gather round people, this one’s fresh off the press. Here’s the background: Back in 2022, I was trying to build my first company. It was (supposed to be) an edtech teaching financial literacy to middle-income Americans / college students. I never quite landed on a target demo. Safe to say I had no clue what I was doing. But I knew I wanted to help people get smarter with their money. And I figured the way to do that was to find someone who could code and maybe help me build an MVP. So I did what any scrappy first-time founder would do. I hit LinkedIn (and X) and started cold-messaging literally hundreds of engineers. Fast forward to early this week. I reach out to someone who’s now building a really cool company of their own. We’re chatting, vibing, and setting up a call in style. Then I scroll up. Turns out I messaged this same legend two years ago asking if they wanted to be my technical cofounder for that first startup. WOW. Talk about a full fucking circle moment. It was great chatting Rohit Shetty 😎

After 153 applications and interviewing 29 BDRs I realised: People think being average is acceptable...Folks with 5+ y/o experience couldn't explain what ACTUALLY drives results. Here's what the TOP 1% know that they don't: BACKGROUND During the interviews, we showed candidates a screenshot of campaign results: → 41% Open Rate → 0.8% Reply Rate → 26% Positive Replies → 50% Turned into Meetings "Tell me what you see and what you would improve" I asked. Some answered shocked me. - "The open rate of 40% is pretty strong" - - "Reply rate of 0.8% is OK but can be better. I'd test the messaging and the CTA" - - "Positive Reply rate is rather bad. I'd create better personalization using sales signals" That was not just one candidate. The majority of them answered like that. Do BDRs and RevOps really have ZERO understanding how these numbers connect? Not knowing this cost a customer 100,000 in MRR. They were sending 3,000 emails a day and had an open rate of 38%. "Lanny, we need clay to create hyperpersonalized emails" "Maybe" I said. "but this is not your main issue. You're fixing the WRONG thing. If nobody reads your emails, it does not matter how personalized they are" After fixing their deliverability, they DOUBLED their pipeline in 6 weeks. Simple truth: If you're fixing the wrong issue, you're wasting time & money. Here's how to understand & fix your KPIs: 1.) Open Rate < 60% Means your emails are ending up in spam. The problem is your sending setup - NOT the messaging. → Stop tracking it (it's inaccurate and harmful) → Setup multiple domains & inboxes → Set up your DKIM, SPF, DMARC → 15 emails per inbox / day → Use spintax. Smartlead is the # 1 tool that fixes all of this. 2.) Reply rate < 1% This also a deliverability issue, not copywriting → same fixes as above 3.) Reply rate < 5-10% People just don't care about your message. You're either targeting the wrong people or your message is too vanilla. Here's the fix: → Short messaging (less than 100 words, 6th-grade English) → A/B test different value propositions → Be hyperspecific about the problem → Create smaller target audiences 4.) Positive Reply Rate < 20-25% Most responses are either "no thanks" or "we already have a solution" instead of a "hell YES". →The problem statement is a scratch, not a broken bone → Offer sounds generic / not different → Your solution is a "nice-to-have" Fix this with hyperpersonlized lead magnet/engagement offers and "sell" the next step. Why should someone meet with you? (Starbucks gift cards aren't it) 5.) Meetings booked <75% If you don't convert people who already said "Yes, let's meet" you leave money on the table (or inbox) DON'T send meeting links CALL them right away What would you add to improve those numbers? comment👇
