Today, I had the absolute honor of stepping into the interviewer seat at ITC to speak with some of the most forward-thinking minds in insurance.

I sat down with:

Each of these conversations touched on the urgent shifts happening right now across underwriting, compliance, claims, and AI governance.

There were so many inspiring points, as we talked about the ways our world will change. Will my AI agents outperform yours? Carriers don’t need to only figure out how to leverage AI across the org, they need a strategy for agents interacting with policyholder agents. They need strategic AI governance with the same high standards for internal AI and AI that’s now part of their vendors. 

Every guest echoed the same truth: AI is not the threat, lack of clarity around its use is.

AI connects the dots between trust, compliance, speed, and user experience. And probably most powerfully, these leaders are leading with conviction. Every single one brought vision backed by deep operational grit. I feel reinvigorated!

Big change is here and I am sooooooo ready for it. 

After listening to Julie Zhuo  talk about the future of leadership, I was beyond inspired. There were so many valuable points she made that really helped me to see a completely new way of building and scaling a company as it relates to the way a company is structured and how we manage AI models and agents. 

She talked about the shift from managing people to managing complexity. From organizing by roles to organizing by outcomes.
From titles to builders. 

Fascinating!

All of it just made sense, but I also saw it as a significant paradigm shift that requires us to really open our minds and courageously explore new ways of doing business. 

What we need now more than ever is clarity (infused throughout the company), context-driven teams, a culture of initiative (not permission), a bias toward prototyping over perfection (I’m working hard at this myself), and leadership that starts with managing yourself. 

Everything is changing and I’m here to navigate this change with you taking the best insight from great minds like Julie and Lenny Rachitsky (warning: Lenny’s podcast is addictive!) to highlight our paths forward.

It’s been far too long that I’ve had the chance to stay an extended time with a group of women leaders. There is just something so incredibly magical about waking up together, cooking together, and learning from one another. Three years ago, I first heard Deb talk about what SelfPowerment was for her and other high-achieving women. 

What she has built over those years is truly a movement. 

It has and will continue to change my life. 

I am not the same woman. 

Today, I now stand in my own presence more often with gratitude and clarity celebrating all I’ve achieved while also fully accepting and appreciating all that I am, including being at peace with every misstep, and not allowing those discoveries to turn into judgment or self doubt.

I am changing my climb.

From one that felt like I was climbing straight up, and at the same time pullled into a million different directions, to one that is selective, protective and patient where I am resting in my soul experiencing life gravitating towards what feels right for me. Along the way, I will serve, build, and learn, but it will be in rest versus speeding through life. 

I will continuously recondition myself through the framework Deb Smallwood has given to me and what will soon be millions of women.

Acknowledgement. Acceptance. Alignment. Awakening. 

I will revisit these areas all of my life, but now with an understanding of where I am and how to get to where I need to go. 

Thanks to this mastermind, I’m changing my how because I have a much different why. I am fully resting in the joy of who I am. And boy, does it feel good.
