Chief Executive Officer

Brain eBox

Notable achievements
•	I have created a wide range of content for corporate clients. These have included traditional and digital in-house programmes, accreditation-ready qualifications and I have helped clients to digitalise their existing training materials. 
o	The programmes which I have created are on a variety of topics: induction, product training, system training, leadership training, technical training, coaching and mentorship programmes, graduate programmes amongst others. 
o	I have created programmes for clients across various sectors.
•	I have developed a web-based application, which we call our online classroom, as well as a focused learner support process which ensures employees complete the courses they start.
o	Thousands of individuals have made use of the online classroom to complete courses that I have created for their companies, and my team and I have been successful in maintaining an annual average of completion rate of 80%.
o	Individuals have accessed our online classroom from 20 different countries.
•	Achieved accreditation for the company as a training provider with the Services Seta in South Africa, to deliver the qualification, National Certificate: Generic Management. 
o	To date, over 100 people have exited our accredited programmes successfully. The programme achieves an overall training experience rating of above 80% across all groups each month, and the retention and exit rate on the programme sits at 90%.
o	We launched an Alumni network for those who have completed our leadership programmes. 
•	I launched the HR on the Brain podcast in December 2022. It is available to listen to on both Apple Podcasts and Spotify. The purpose of the show is to provide HR leaders with innovative approaches to deal with their common HR challenges, as well as to inspire them to build their HR careers through hearing current HR executives share their career story.
•	I had extensive experience with leading teams in this role.

TFG (The Foschini Group)

Notable achievements: 
•	Achieving TFG's accreditation as a training provider with the Wholesale and Retail SETA within 6 months
•	Building the skills development team of facilitators, assessors, and administrators to implement the training initiatives once we achieved our accreditation. 
•	Successfully implementing skills development initiatives which positively impacted the Group's B-BBEE scorecard performance. 
•	We had hundreds of individuals on accredited programmes nationally from entry level employees on Learnerships, right up to Senior Leaders on University management development programmes. 
•	Responsible for managing a team of 4 Learning and Development specialists, 1 Skills Development consultant and 3 administrators.

Skills Development Manager

Notable achievements: 
•	Created a learning pathway framework for Store Managers, as well as Area Managers. 
•	Designed and launched the TFG Retail Academy nationally, which was based on this framework.
o	The design component involved creating some in-house content and programmes; as well as identifying and partnering with external training providers and facilitators to provide complementary programmes which were needed along the pathway.
o	The design and launch process involved meeting with the management teams of the various divisions within TFG to present the learning pathways and the proposed Retail Academy. The purpose of these sessions was to share information, generate buy-in and gain each division’s support to place their leaders onto the Academy programmes. 
•	Responsible for managing a permanent team of 4 Learning and Development consultants, as well as an external team of up to 8 contractors. 
•	Managing the training implementation for the Group’s new HR system. The training for this system needed to take place nationally, in every region for all leaders in the retail teams across the Group.
•	Building positive relationships with each division, and sharing relevant data on a monthly basis on their candidates’ progress on the programme/s.

HR Manager: TFG Retail Academy

Notable achievements: 
•	Collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team to review and update their recruitment process to ensure that we were finding the right talent to join the team.
•	Review and upgrading of the onboarding programme for new starters entering the Telemarketing team to include a practical incubation component. 
•	Development of a strategy to manage the pipeline of new starters, so that we were able to have employees ready to join their team, immediately when a vacancy became available. 
•	Conduct & develop training needs analysis in collaboration with Business Units to ensure that the right training programme is provided to the right staff at the right time.
•	Management of & involvement in the design & development of process, product, systems, and new starter training for all call centre staff in the Telemarketing Call Centres
•	Implementation & Management of a Learnership for the FETC: Short Term Insurance registered with the INSETA in order to ensure business readiness for FAIS legislation requirements.
•	People Management of 4 Learning Facilitators and 1 Administrator

HR Manager: Telemarketing

ITC Business Administrators

ITC Business Administrators  is a third party collections agency in Cape Town, where I was the Learning & Development Manager and the Skills Development Facilitator (SDF).

Notable achievements: 
•	Setting up of the learning and development strategy for the business
•	Review and upgrading of the new starter induction process.
•	Development and implementation of the company’s first quality assurance process. 
•	Development of effective SETA-aligned Training Material for use by the company
•	Effective Skills Development Facilitation for the company as per statutory requirements
•	Collaborating with the HR Manager on the Recruitment and Selection process to ensure that we were bringing in the right talent.
•	Management of the company’s annual FASSET Learnership, with a retention rate of 80% for the duration of the 1-year learnership programme.
•	Performance Management Coaching for effective results across staff KPA’s
•	People Management of a team of 5 staff members – 1 Facilitator, 1 Coach, 3 Quality Assessors

Learning and Development Manager

Contact Center Dynamics Pty Ltd (CCD)

This was my first management role in the ETD sector. I was responsible & accountable for the Operations Management of the company's training delivery to its clients & the management of the training delivery team.

Key clients included Woolworths Financial Services, TeleTech South Africa, Direct Axis, Hertz, City of Cape Town, Edcon and Santam.

Notable Achievements:
•	The development and evaluation of Seta Curricula for Contact Center Dynamics for Accreditation with the Services SETA
•	Setting up, maintaining, and implementing a Quality Management System
•	Setting up and managing the maintenance of a Learner Record Management System
•	The effective training, mentoring and management of a team of Facilitators.
•	Effective consulting with clients on training delivery 
•	Effective Recruitment & Selection of Learners for the Learnership and the maintenance of a minimal learner drop off rate across all learnerships conducted.
•	Effective Training Delivery & Assessment functions
•	Overseeing Training Delivery of 4 Facilitators & 1 Administrator

Training and Quality Manager

This was my first role in the Education, Training and Development sector, through which I became experienced in Skills Development coordination and administration. I was also exposed to ETD practices such as material development, training delivery and assessment management.

MY CONTRIBUTION TO MARGIE MIDDLETON & ASSOCIATES
I was able to create and maintain a record management system for all learner records across programmes. This included learner personal information, assessment results, portfolio of evidence management and reporting.

I was responsible for resource production & storage. This would be for training manuals, training administration forms, training content (books etc) across various training programmes.
