🚨 “Speaking English fluently doesn’t make you globally competent — it just makes you understood.” Today, I have the privilege of speaking as a panellist on a topic that’s close to my heart — and one I believe will define the next decade of Indian education: “The Bilingual Advantage: Leveraging India’s R1–R2 Model as a Launchpad for Global Competence.” While many are still debating whether schools should teach in English or regional languages, I believe we’re missing the point entirely. 💡 Bilingualism isn’t a medium. It’s a mindset. It’s the ability to shift perspectives, navigate cultures, and solve problems using two (or more) cognitive lenses. In India, our children do this every day — switching languages between the classroom, the cricket ground, and the dinner table — without even realizing it.
