What If You’re Not Attracting Leads… Because You’re Not Actually Claiming Your Zone of Genius?

There is an immense power in your ability to choose. 💯

I didn’t lose my business during the financial crisis. Instead, I chose to pivot. 

That decision transformed me into the coach I am today. 😍

Back then, I was leading consulting projects and working with Fortune 500s —𝘐 𝘢𝘣𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘵. (I'm totally the consultant type 🤣... get in, solve the problem, hand over the keys, and onto the next challenge.)

But deep down, a fire inside me wanted more...

    Become magnetic by optimizing every section to speak directly to your ideal client.

 3. 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹, 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲.
    Focus on your client's journey, not just your knowledge.

    Use 3 levels of engagement: Comment, Connect, and Conversate! Respond, engage, and build real relationships.

 5. 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗧𝗔𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀.
    Have a next step, and make it easy for prospects to take the next step.

 6. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝘆. 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘂𝗽 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵.
    Build trust over time through repeated touchpoints.

It wasn’t clear. It wasn’t converting. It wasn’t him.

So I went to work to position him as an Authority, leveraging his Zone of Genius and focusing on his niche.

This meant a complete LinkedIn profile makeover for full optimization:

➡️ Rebuilding his positioning
➡️ Reworking his headline
➡️ Transforming his About section from “blah” to bold

And...

🚨 He didn’t start posting daily.
🚨 He didn’t launch a new offer.
🚨 He didn’t run any paid ads.

But here’s what happened. 👀

Brad has experienced a 𝟮𝟭.𝟵𝟳% 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 over approximately 8 months, without changing his posting cadence significantly.

Why does this matter? 🤔

Because Brad wasn’t trying to grow his audience 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘵.

When I started out, I was a project management consultant working with Fortune 500 companies. My role was to turn around failing projects, and before that, I taught people technical skills like Microsoft Word and Excel. 

𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 2008 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘴, 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘥.

I found myself pivoting online and eventually stepping into coaching, a space where I realized so many talented, passionate people were struggling to make their expertise truly work for them.

What struck me most? 

Many were becoming coaches or consultants out of necessity after job losses, but they lacked clear structure, strategy, and positioning. They were working hard but getting lost in a sea of noise with no direction.

It’s not about doing more random, feed the LinkedIn feed type of posting.
→ 𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘈𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥.

Here’s how I learned this the hard way.

I used to publish long, polished posts filled with inspiration, motivation, and insights.

I’d spend hours crafting them. ⌛

But... 𝘕𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘥... 𝘕𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘴... 𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦. 🦗

Then I analyzed my top-performing posts... (lurkers included 👀)

And guess what... the ones that 𝘥𝘪𝘥 lead to DMs? ⤵️

✔️ They named one specific problem.
✔️ They spoke to one person.
✔️ They promised one outcome.

❌ They didn’t try to teach everything and I didn’t explain everything about the topic.

Instead, I focused on 𝘰𝘯𝘦 pain point.

Result?
My DMs filled with coaches asking, “𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘐 𝘧𝘪𝘹 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴?”

But here’s the twist most miss:
→ 𝘈𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘪𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘦. 𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨.

When you anchor every post to:

- 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

You’re not alone in feeling stuck.
