Back in 2018, I had no real network. I knew almost nothing about startups, how businesses are built, and how to run them successfully, and had no clue about sales. I was just fascinated by entrepreneurship. I was spending hours each week reading sales books and educating myself on how successful businesses are built and, operated. I launched a business with my brother, which completely failed. It impacted me on a personal level as things didn’t go as planned. Most people would think that this is it — I was a failure and would stop here, as I lacked the core skills that were necessary to make it work. I made myself a promise to never let this happen again. I had failed to grow a business because I couldn’t find customers, and even if I did, I couldn’t close them. I knew that I wasn’t the only one with this problem. That’s when I made the commitment to build my sales skills and business acumen. As I was building my skillsets, it lead me to work with a top Social Media Marketing Agency, that is featured in Forbes, Inc 500, Entrepreneur 360 Best Company, and The Miami Herald and still continues to make an impact on the world. After a few months, I got my first exposure to the startup world and received an opportunity to work with the founder of Performative Speaking, which helps venture-backed founders fundraise. That journey was in itself a great experience for me to learn about start-ups, fundraising, B2B sales, and much more. And I will continue to learn, grow and share my lessons, insights, and experiences of my journey with you as I move to the next adventurous ride.
