Before joining Rosedale AI, I founded Coterie, an executive and engineering talent agency rooted in the belief that the foundation of every successful company is its people. Prior to that, I led talent functions at high-growth organizations: I was Head of Global Talent Acquisition at Trust Machines (a $150M Series A company) and Head of Talent Acquisition at Chief (🦄). Over more than a decade, I’ve built teams for multi-billion-dollar companies including Goldman Sachs, ClassPass, and others.

I’m not great with tech. Never have been. But I have a natural tendency that is weirdly becoming an advantage now that I am the CRO of an AI company: 

Being relentlessly honest.

That’s it. That’s my unexpected advantage.

I didn’t plan it. I didn’t train for it.

I just hate lying.

My body tenses up at the sole idea of twisting my words. 

Now, before you think “oh look at Olga, perfect creature that never lies”, being honest all the time isn’t always that helpful, trust me.

It has come back to bite me many times in my life.

But…

If you’re the CRO of a company helping businesses grow with AI, well, being honest helps.

It helps because founders often come to us after bad experiences where:

- internal people weren’t honest about their abilities
- external partners weren’t honest about what AI can do

So, honesty is the first thing they seek.

For me, that means:

→ pushing back on AI applications I know won’t work
→ setting clear expectations on limits
→ sending a Loom that says we are not the right partner and explaining why

It’s my little contribution to counter the bs AI content out there. 

It’s driving people away. It’s costing founders’ money.

You hate it. I hate it.

We could all do with a bit less of that and a little more of… honesty.
