1. Identify your area of market genius.
– Do you know a topic better than others?
– Do you focus on an area others don’t?
– Do you service a different audience?

2. Identify “wow”.
– Do you give a better experience than others?
– Can you deliver that in novel new ways?
– Do you make it more fun than others?

3. Delegate everything else.
– Your genius+wow combo deserves focus.
– Unless it serves that combo, delegate it.
– If it elevates that combo, recruit for it.

The world doesn’t need more
average social media posts,
average SaaS products,
average service offers.

The world just needs you,
in your area of genius,
making it wow us.

2 ways to perfect your product…

Option 1:
"The Assumed Build"

— Assume you know best
— Build based on that assumption
— Hope anyone actually likes/wants it

Option 2:
"The Sweet-Spot Build"

— Ask what they want
— Ask how they love to receive it
— Build something that combines the two

Option 1 gives you a product you'd like to use.
Option 2 gives you a product they'd like to use.

Neither is right or wrong… just know which you're making!

What’s missing on most webpages?

It’s not a the product description…
It’s not all features/benefits…
It’s not clever copywriting…
It's the user's preferences.

It should display WHAT they love to learn.
It should display it HOW they love to consume.

Example:

User wants to learn how to bake cookies
+
User enjoys watching silly cat videos
=
Visualize silly cats baking the cookies

For that user? It's the best page imaginable!

Sure…
It requires research.
It requires more effort.
It requires imagination.

But what's more likely to have them stay, click, convert, share, etc?
That, or something boring and samey like everything else online these days?

While companies race to…
– Replace humans with bots
– Slash customer support spend
– Automate onboarding & service

– Make experiences more human
– Let customers feel seen & cared for
– Roll out the red carpet for every buyer

7. Automate a beautiful email for each stage of service delivery?

Remember when TikTok got banned?

There was an important lesson we should ALL learn from it:

Trend-chasers had to start from zero elsewhere.
Trend-chasers had to learn fast or be left behind.
Trend-chasers had to grind to be discovered again.
Trend-chasers had to hope it works again this time.

Brand-builders don’t.

Brand-builders keep creating things we looked forward to.
Brand-builders keep educating while entertaining their users.
Brand-builders keep getting searched for on the next platform.
Brand-builders don’t care about ‘followers’ (in a database).
Brand-builders care about ‘fans’ who’d miss you if you were gone.

Not if the platform were gone…

…If YOU were gone.
