Introducing TikTok Shop GMV Max on TikTok Shop

TikTok's new GMV Max Ads for TikTok Shops has the potential to be a game-changer. 

Here's how it works:

- Select the products from your shop you want to promote or enable all products.

 
- Set your ROI target (TikTok will autosuggest bid based on your last 7 days of data or the average ROI from other advertisers in your product category). 

They claim actual ROI will be between 80-120% of your target. 

 
- Set your budget (TikTok will autosuggest your budget based on your average ad spend from the last seven days, previous sales results or the average performance for your product category). 

TikTok will only spend if it can hit your ROI/CPA target within the 80-120% range stated above.

 
- Select individual creative if you want or allow TikTok to use all eligible creative.    

- Hit Publish

TikTok will then deliver the best possible product with the best possible creative to the right person at the right spot in the app 

(including the FYP, search results, TTS search results and TikTok shop recommendation page).

It will automatically deliver creator spark ads in the FYP and then specific product image ads in TikTok Shop search. 

Will have to see how this performs (running some tests for clients now), 

If it does what TikTok says it can do it will make running ads on TikTok way easier and more profitable.

A few years ago, I was dreaming of working with brands doing $1mil a year.

Then, we run about $100 a day behind these.

This approach helps you start getting sales and reviews, which is what the bigger creators want to see.

No one wants to be the first to promote; everyone wants to follow.

Even when you start gaining traction, understand that not all creators will promote, even if they request a sample.

This is why we vet all creators.

If their fulfillment % is low, it might be risky to send out a sample. 

You need to understand they might not promote.

Last week, I had the chance to speak with a 9-figure brand.

Surprisingly, they are doing NOTHING on TikTok right now.

This brand, like another I spoke with, generates a significant portion of their revenue from TV, specifically QVC.

Imagine that—a brand thriving on traditional TV platforms but missing out on the dynamic world of TikTok Shop and LIVES.

Check their affiliates.

Export all their usernames.

Create a target collaboration list with these usernames

Offer them a generous commission of 35%+.

Ensure your messaging is something like: 
"I see you're promoting X Brand; our brand would complement them well!"

** Bonus tip: Open these profiles, and if they have an email address, reach out to them directly. You’ll get a better response rate.

Not all creators will respond

The ones that do will mean you have an influx of creators ready to promote your brand, and you won’t have to shoot in the dark to find creators!
