I wasn’t supposed to be here.

Five and a half years ago, my life was going the other way...

I was: 

🔹Drinking every day
🔹Running from myself

And one night alcohol took my right eye in a freak accident

That was my wake-up call.

I had two choices: 

1. Keep spiraling downwards (and potentially die) 
2. Rebuild myself

I chose to rebuild.

I got sober. 

Which forced me to face the sides of myself I’d been running from. 

And in the process, I discovered something most people never realize...

Your identity shapes your whole reality. 

Who you believe you are determines what you're capable of creating. 

That lesson became the foundation of everything I do now.

When I started my consulting business...

I was in college studying audio engineering.

Just a normal guy who had to figure it out from scratch.

Since then... 

I built my consulting business to six figures organically on LinkedIn.

And I've watched my clients break through the same walls I had broken through in my own life.

Today, my mission is simple:

To help established leaders and creatives get to $20K/m by doing the inner work combined with the business work.

Because I know what it feels like to lose everything.

And I also know what it takes to build yourself back stronger.

I used to grind 7 days a week.

All because I had no systems.

Now I get to relax on weekends and take my auntie out for lunch during the day on a kayak.

Life gets pretty amazing when you start caring about leverage and freedom more than grinding.

Hustling harder does not = more money…

But leverage does.

Confidence isn’t something given to you…

It’s something you build over time.

Most people sabotage themselves.

A lot.

They say they’re going to wake up at a certain time… then sleep in.

They tell themselves they’re going to work out… then skip it.

On the surface it looks harmless.

“No worries, I’ll make sure I don’t miss tomorrow”

But what’s going on underneath…

Those promises you break to yourself shatter your self-esteem.

You start to no longer trust yourself.

Your word means nothing even to you.

Over time…

All confidence goes out the window.

Then you wonder why you’re back in your old ways and doing things you know aren’t good for you.

Not good.

So how do you actually build confidence?

Daily micro wins.

Tell yourself you’re going to make your bed in the morning.

Wake up. Do it.

Bam.

Just like that… a little confidence built.

If you keep stacking those wins day after day…

Your confidence will shoot through the roof.

By the way…

This isn’t me pushing a hustle culture on you (I know there’s more to life than hustling).

I’m talking about building a more confident version of you.

And it all starts with keeping promises to yourself.

Earlier this year I made a huge business mistake.

I’m still recovering from it.

Here’s what went down…

I had been running my 1:1 consulting program for 1.5 years and it was going great.

I hit my first $10K (and many more) months doing just the 1:1.

Over time as I got more and more clients…

It became draining.

Not because I don’t enjoy clients calls (they’re actually my favorite part of what I do).

But because the calls got repetitive.

I structured my program to be curriculum based on the calls.

So I ended up saying the same things over and over to every new client.

Instead of changing this…

I decided to switch my focus onto group coaching so I only had to say things once.

Huge mistake.

I didn’t have nearly enough lead flow to support it.

A 1:1 program client → $5K
My group coaching → $500/m

As you can imagine…

My income took a huge hit.

I rode it out for months thinking it would change…

But it didn’t (due to other factors than just lead flow which I’ll cover soon)

Now I’m back to focusing on my 1:1 and only taking on 7 clients at a time.

Once that fills there’s a waitlist or an option to do group instead.

Except this time for my 1:1 clients, they can work through the curriculum on their own time.

That way our 1:1 calls are more about action and direct guidance.

My clients now are happier…

And I am too.

This mistake cost me a lot of money in the short term.

But the long-term lesson was invaluable.

My 3 non-negotiables before I start work every morning.

(Spoiler → I don’t do cold plunges)

I’ve experimented a lot of the years of what’s the best way to start my day.

I tried going straight to work after I wake up.

I’ve tried going to the gym.

And everything in between.

Here’s what’s worked best for me (and takes less than an hour):


1. Bioenergetics

If you don’t know what this is…

Essentially, it’s a bunch of different static stretches meant to release tension, stress, and emotion trapped in your body.

When my anxiety got bad earlier this year…

This was my life saver.


2. Read my self image folder

I created a document that has my ideal self in it.

All the way down to his:

🔹Traits
🔹Beliefs
🔹Goals
🔹Vision
🔹Purpose

I’ve been reading this for years now updating it as I go.

Hands down one of the best things you can do for reprogramming your subconscious mind.

3. Smudge

If you don’t know by now… I’m a very spiritual guy.

And smudging is a huge part of my First Nations culture.

How it works:

Sage is a sacred herb that gets rid of bad energy and spirits on/around you.

When you burn it, you use the smoke to bathe yourself with.

From there you say your gratitudes and prayers.


And that’s it.

It’s simple.

It’s definitely not sexy…

But it sets my day up to be grounded, aligned, and full of energy.

Just how I like it.

Why aligned offers sell faster and easier.

But first…

Here’s what I mean by ‘aligned’.

Your offer has to be something you actually want to do.

With people you actually want to work with.

For a purpose deeper than money.

Yes…

In the beginning you can get away with doing something you don’t enjoy and get to $10K/month with it.

That’s no problem.

But once you get there…

If it’s not aligned, problems will start to come up.

🔹Work drains you
🔹You won’t feel excited
🔹You’ll dread the future of your business

And that’s no bueno.

But if your offer is aligned with who you are and who you want to help…

🔹Scaling becomes easier
🔹Your attitude stays optimistic
🔹Potential clients will feel your excitement

And these 3 make the game a whole lot easier.

You can only go so far with a business that feel misaligned.

Chances are if you’re stuck right now (and have been for a while)

This is the reason.

Why a business without systems gets stuck after $10K.

And why hustle only gets you so far…

Early 2024 I hit my first $10K month, and it was great.

The issue was…

I did it all hustling by myself.

No VA to delegate anything to.

No systems to track my client's success journey.

Nothing.

Just sheer will power.

I went on to hit multiple $10K-$12K months after but couldn’t seem to get past that mark.

Then earlier this year I got dangerously close to burning out.

(My anxiety was though the roof).

There’s nothing worse than feeling like you’re sprinting in one place.

I started creating SOP’s for everything.

Hired a full time VA to delegate tasks too.

Started focusing on the things that mattered (content & client fulfillment)

Now my growth has been sustainable.

I also have more:

🔹Energy
🔹Clarity
🔹Control

To put towards the things I love and that move the business forwards.

The shift from being a doer into a leader is required when you hit the $10K+ mark.

And it’s only possible with systems.

Without them…

You’ll only stay stuck.

Most established leaders and creatives think they’re missing a strategy.

What they’re actually missing is this…

Alignment.

It’s tricky and subtle,

But when you chase growth, money, and success…

It’s easy to lose sight of your deeper values and vision along the way.

Then you become frustrated with your business.

Mostly because it feels hollow.

You know something is wrong and it feels like something is missing…

But you can’t figure out what.

What’s crazy is what happens when you take a step back.

Realign your business with:

🔹Who you are
🔹What you stand for
🔹Why you started in the first place

All of a sudden, your energy comes back.

Your business feels free again.

Because now you’re doing meaningful work that feels aligned with your purpose.

After a certain point (usually 6 figures)

This stuff matters much much more.

Last Friday on my group coaching call,

A client asked me this about imposter syndrome…

“I can’t seem to shake it. Any ideas?”

Besides giving him the generic ‘work on your confidence and see your value’.

I wanted to go a bit deeper. 

He works with physiotherapists, so I asked him a question…

“These people went to school for years and have been running their practice for years too, how much time do you think they had to learn marketing?”

He thought about it and said, “Probably 0”.

“Exactly” I said.

You already know WAY more than them about it. 

They don’t need a world class 10/10 marketer (who they probably couldn’t afford anyways)

They just need someone who’s better than them.

I’m serious.

If you’re a 5/10 marketer and they’re a 1….

Why wouldn’t they want your help? 

I could see the tension in his shoulders release after I said it. 

Everyone is so caught up thinking they have to be perfect to help someone.

When in reality…

People just need someone a couple steps ahead of them.

Why most creatives plateau at $10K/month.

(It’s not just tactics)

There’s nothing worse than feeling you’re doing “all the right things’ but still staying stuck.

It’s beyond frustrating.

Because when you know you’re capable of doing more (and you’re not) …

You become restless.

Here’s the solution…

The LPL Method:

🔷Leads

When you’re stuck at $10K/month…

Yes you have proof of concept.
Yes you have product market fit.

But you don’t have consistent lead flow.

This is your first bottle neck to solve.

I use my LinkedIn Engine for this (full breakdown coming soon)


🔷Positioning

You might feel like you’re an authority…

But if you can’t get passed this level,

Others just don’t see it (or they don’t buy it).

You have to position yourself as the best and only option for you dream client.

Do it by finding the stories your dream clients are telling themselves and cater to those.


🔷Leverage

You can’t scale doing everything by yourself.

What you need to do is create systems and SOPs for every daily process…

Then train a VA.

This is how you gain time and energy back.

But you don’t just sunbathe here…

You have to put the new time back into what your best at.


BAM.

That’s it.

These are the only 3 levers you need to pull on to get yourself out of the $10K/month plateau.

Now all you have to do…

Is take action.
