Anyone who needs to hear it again. Burnout isn’t always about doing too much. Sometimes it’s about feeling disconnected from why you started. For anyone navigating the quiet weight of disconnection, especially in mental health, advocacy, or a founder (where I fall), this one's for you. 👇 Add your voice below if this still hits. #mentalhealth #advocate #motivational #clinicians

The most under-discussed part of burnout? It’s not exhaustion. It’s disconnection. Burnout isn’t always about how much you’re doing. It’s about how little of it feels like it matters. For clinicians, advocates, and those with lived experience this disconnect can feel isolating. But naming it helps. → It gives others permission to say, “Me too.” → It opens space for reconnection. → It reminds us we’re still here. Still showing up. And that counts for more than we know. Let’s support each other. What’s one small thing that helps you feel reconnected when burnout creeps in?
Ever wish your inbox could triage itself? Mine does now, and here's the exact system I use to do it. I built the Inbox AI Assistant to help me stay on top of leads, ghosted replies, and follow-ups — without hiring an EA or VA. Here's what it does: • Classifies each email as 🔥 Urgent, 📤 Delegate, or 🗃️ Archive • Drafts smart replies using AI (only when needed) • Sends Slack alerts for real priority threads • Logs all of it into my Notion & Sheets "Second Brain" It’s helped me close more leads, stay focused, and never miss a high-priority message, even on busy days. Want to see how it works or try it yourself? → Drop an "Inbox AI" below, and I’ll send over the Loom + setup link. (Or DM me and I’ll send it directly.)
Most people don’t scale because they’re stuck tweaking, not shipping. I’ve done it too. Tightening slide decks. Rewriting the first sentence. Perfecting a workflow that hasn’t even been sold yet. We call it “strategy.” But most of the time? It’s just avoidance with a better name. The truth of the matter is: You don’t need another system. You need a reason to click 'publish'. You need to be wrong in public so you can get right faster. What are you procrastinating on by staying ‘busy’?
Not all effort compounds. Some effort just keeps you stuck on the treadmill. If you’re spending time on: - Tools you’ll ditch in 3 months - Projects without a clear ROI - Work that no one sees or uses… It’s time to shift. Put your energy where future you will say: “Glad I did that.” What’s one thing you're doing now that you know will pay off later?
Burnout isn’t solved by rest. It’s solved by purpose. Rest matters. But it’s not a cure. You can take a week off and still dread Monday. You can sleep 8 hours and still wake up lost. That’s because burnout doesn’t just come from doing too much. It comes from doing the wrong things on repeat. Here’s what helped me: - I stopped building for applause - I started building for alignment - I gave myself permission to rebuild everything from scratch You don’t need a vacation. You need a reason to keep going. Tag someone building something bigger than themselves.
I used to think I had a discipline problem. But it wasn’t that. It was decision fatigue. Once I started making fewer, clearer decisions… → I stopped burning out → I built faster → I trusted myself more Discipline isn’t about grinding harder. It’s about removing all the noise between you and what matters.
What’s one small system that you swear by but most people tend to overlook? I’m talking about things like the 2-minute email rule, the weekly team retrospective, or the 5-minute journaling practice. These small habits can lead to significant wins over time. Please share your best "micro-system" in the comments. Let’s work together to discover some big efficiency gains!
You don’t need more motivation. You need fewer friction points. I used to beat myself up for not doing more. Then I realized: - I had too many inputs - Too many tools - Too many tabs Once I simplified, the output multiplied. Productivity isn’t about pushing harder. It’s about removing drag. What’s one thing you’ve eliminated recently that made work easier?
