I’m what you’d call the “anti-recruiter recruiter.” Why? Because the traditional hiring system is broken, and I’m not afraid to say it. Resumes? Overrated. Buzzwords? Worthless. My mission is to cut through the noise and help companies hire leaders who don’t just look good on paper but align with their purpose and values. My journey started in Spokane, Washington, as a sports-obsessed kid who always ended up wearing the captain’s armband. Leadership wasn’t just something I did; it was something I lived. Fast-forward to my early career at Aerotek, and I realized my knack for connecting people with opportunities. But I also saw how many companies were getting it wrong, focusing on skills over substance. So in 2002, I co-founded Tru Path (formerly known as Job Brokers Inc.), a company that grew 100% year-over-year for eight years, scaling to $50 million in revenue. When the 2008 financial crisis hit, I built a Managed Service Program that not only saved us from going under but led to our most successful years and a profitable exit. That experience taught me that purpose and strategy can turn even the toughest challenges into opportunities. ➡️ In 2012, I co-founded Y Scouts, the first purpose-driven executive search firm. We don’t just find candidates; we find leaders who align with your organization’s purpose, inspire your teams, and drive results. Today, we work with health and wellness companies, SaaS innovators, and values-driven organizations to connect them with leaders who inspire, align, and deliver. My philosophy is simple: hire like your business depends on it—because it does.
