Shared outcomes is the only way to alignment. 

Every stage I speak on I am mentioning the same message - speak the same language, align on the shared outcomes. It has to be meaningful for both teams! 

CPC or CPA means nothing for a sales person.

Bring them quality leads that close, even a low amount of deals that convert well is so much better than a long list of deals that will not convert. 
Focus on shared metrics across your marketing initiatives.

I attended a Marketing Ops Community panel in NYC yesterday. 

The Ops professionals wanted to know, what trend I see Ops professionals getting rid of this year.

The key trend we are seeing that more and more Ops professionals make their best effort to get away from the "Last click" attribution:
1. It is highly innacurate in long customer journeys
2. It is always favouring Sales as a Meeting/Call will always be your last touch on a deal!

You can’t automate authenticity.

I asked Devin Reed what companies get wrong about employee advocacy, and he said this: you don’t want to trade authenticity for control.

YES.

100 employees? That means 100 different voices. 

Here’s the thing, you can give people a nice LinkedIn banner, you can suggest a killer bio, but you can’t force them to post.

Real employee advocacy is built on trust and giving people space to show up as themselves.

"How have you heard about us?" - that is so 2023 form. 
In this specific example I knew that this client has heard about us from LinkedIn.

Ads impressions, organic engagement and then 7 months later they converted into a demo. 
"Direct" - is the trackable last touch.
"Direct" - is why marketers needed to create the "How have you heard about us?" form
"Direct" - is never direct, but a need for a better tracking.
