LinkedIn B2Believe event was different than what we have tried before.

Here are small learning snippets:
- personalisation, uniqueness and humour goes long way for B2B ads. 
- Moving away from content that took months to create to organic, personal content.

- Buying groups are larger than you think.  This one was a wake up call for me personally. Even though we’re selling to marketers, the technical teams are often the secret may or yay sayers!

- 95% of your audience is not ready to buy. Delight, engage them and next time it’s their turn - your brand is the first one on the list.

- 3rd party cookie disappear - conversion APIs are going to pave the way for more efficient advertising than ever before 

- Thought leadership ads have more than 1,6X higher engagement and now you can run those not only from your company employees.

- connected TV for LinkedIn ads. What (!?!) keep an eye for more of their announcement

Big step for us as we started running events by:
- attending
- hosting side events
- NOW: a booth!

12 Closed Won deals were influenced by one blog post in the last two quarters.

Here is an example how our Sales & Marketing collaboration works in real life:

Sales:
- Started going to events (Sales initiated activity)
- Saw some good meetings booked
- Realised that going to events and booking meetings requires a lot of structure and discipline
- Wrote down the structure that works to be used for every event

Marketing:
- Picked up the structured list & created a blog post

Now this blog post is delivering more leads than the actual attendance in events every-single-week!

Here is a secret, if you want to do lead gen through Linkedin as a sales person:

Use VIDEO
Product video.

Don’t:

- Send cold pitches
- Create generic content that is just another marketing ad
- Comment without actually meaning it

When you do video: 
- Start with the problem
- Show how you solve it
- Use Sendspark for the video every-time!

Short. 
Precise.
No fluff.
To-the-point.


The painful part of this is that you likely won’t see too many people liking and commenting them. These are usually my lowest performing posts. 
BUT people mention them on calls, refer to when writing DMs to me.
They are telling me directly that THIS is the problem I want to solve, help me out = sell to me. 🤫 

Back from New York and I am so excited that I'm sharing a tiny picture gallery for the first time.

We had a blast!

Here is what made it special: 

- Receiving a Customer Value award during a LinkedIn Partners event. This is the most valuable award we could ever wish for. Customer Value is what we strive for every day. 

- Feeling Linkedin LOVED. We must be doing something right here that this collaboration is evolving to a very exciting partnership for both sides! 

- Having our own booth for the first time was a fun experience too. We did our best to introduce marketers to both Dreamdata AND local Danish specialities to try out.

- Filming a professional video with LinkedIn about #B2Believe was next level. The professionalism of the team and the result is 🔥 

- Experiencing an earthquake while on Empire State Building (felt nothing, just A LOT of emergency alarms around us)

- Our side event with Linkedin was amazing. A large group of marketing professionals discussing current trends and customer journeys together - magic! 

- Doing some funky stuff on budget again - you’ll see more of the funny content from the streets of New York. 

- Taking my family along was amazing too. Memories of my dad taking me on trips abroad with work are stuck in my mind as special. Forever. I am happy to be able to do the same for my kids.

To be a step ahead: make sure you use the below checklist to use that first party data event better: 


1. Establish consent-based first-party cookie tracking
2. UTM everything
3. Connect your tracking data to revenue data (use a B2B customer data platform)
4. Send offline conversions and audience data back to ad platforms
