Before diving into tech sales, I spent several years as a 5th and 6th grade math teacher. Those years honed my skills in clear communication, building trust, and fostering a positive and productive environment. These skills translate perfectly to the world of sales, where understanding a client's needs and crafting win-win solutions is paramount. While I loved seeing the light bulb moments in my students' eyes, teaching post covid was a thankless job that had me coming home with headaches everyday, which made it tough to be the father/husband I needed to be. My family without a doubt, are the reason I made the switch to tech and I'm grateful I did. Now, at Chili Piper, I can leverage my skills and passion while also having the flexibility and work-life balance to be truly present for my family.
