I transform companies into high growth businesses

Since I am not the best at promoting myself, I decided to write a poem instead.

If I'm going to be egocentric, I might as well have it rhyme, right?

Jeff was born in Philly,
But don’t think that makes him silly,
He grew up outside of New York,
And was 32 before he ever tasted pork.

But none of that is info you will care about,
It’s his mind for business that makes people want to shout,
He’s got more insights than most people dream about,
There’s nothing more he loves than helping other people out.

He’s an avid problem solver, that’s what he knows,
His focus is on helping executives grow,
He’s a results-driven leader who helps make you more money,
Like he’s done for Citi, Nestle, Gannett, Omnicom and Sony.

He’s a 3x entrepreneur and successful corporate leader,
He’s part coach, part therapist, and a tiny part teacher.
He’s been called a “leader’s leader”, which is quite nice,
He’s really easy to talk to if you want some advice.

So let’s wrap up this poem, it’s gone on long enough,
The point that I’m making shouldn’t be too tough,
If you want creativity and smarts and the secrets to growth,
You should talk to Jeff, it will benefit us both.

The lunch break just died. And we killed it.

New research from Korn Ferry reveals a brutal truth: 
🤬 62% of workers don't leave their desk at lunch. 
😲 Nearly half skip lunch altogether at least once a week.

📉 Restaurant traffic has declined for eight straight quarters. 
🫥 Business dining—once 10% of all restaurant spending—is vanishing.

We convinced ourselves this was "productivity."

But here's what we actually destroyed:

❌ The conversations that built trust.
❌ The relationships that kept people from jumping ship.
❌ The mental breaks that prevented burnout.
❌ The informal networks that made work actually work.

HR experts are calling it exactly what it is: another blow to corporate culture.

A decade ago, employees who loved their colleagues wouldn't leave for a 10% raise. They needed 20-25% to be tempted.

Now? "It's easier for people to leave," says Korn Ferry's Ron Porter.

Because when you eliminate the human moments, you eliminate the human connections.

Companies spent years optimizing for efficiency. Meetings back-to-back. Lunch at your desk. No "wasted" time.

The result? Employees who eat alone, work isolated, and feel zero loyalty.

You didn't gain productivity. You lost the glue that held your culture together. 🤯 🤯 🤯 

The irony is perfect: in trying to squeeze every minute of work out of people, we made it easier for them to walk away. 🚶🏽‍♀️🚶🏽‍♀️

Maybe it's time to ask: what's the real cost of a 30-minute lunch break versus losing your best talent?
