High financial distress, significant income losses, and families going from middle class to poor are all too common outcomes of a childhood cancer experience. 

Since 2003, Pinky Swear Foundation has supported families’ quality of life with direct financial aid for basic needs.

PSA for all you CRM admins out there. It's ok to delete properties. 

It's actually a good thing. We call it hygiene. 

Without proper governance, over time, CRM's become a dumping ground. My first CRM migration project was as an in-house marketer in 2011. Migrating Netsuite to Salesforce. 

Netsuite had been in place for 15 years and we had properties upon properties that were all capturing random things that no one knew what it was or why it was stored. Ultimately it got to a point no one was using Netsuite as a CRM anymore (not that it ever really was a CRM, a separate post on that topic.)

What you end up with is Grandma's cellar. 

You keep running canned goods down to the cellar but overtime the labels wear off and you don't know what you're left with. 

That's why I love HubSpot, it makes it easy to either remove data, or map it to a new property so everything is neat and tidy. 

A few easy ways include: 

- Live editing in view mode
- Bulk updates with workflows
- Rule enforcement with OpsHub

One of the lessons I've had to learn (painfully) through experience as a small business owner is just how important the word no is.  
 
There are literally countless articles and influencers and social posts (this one included) extolling the virtues of saying no more then yes.  
 
But it's hard to sometimes take someone else's guidance until you have your own eureka moment.  
 
For me, it's looking at my calendar and wondering:  
 
" Where am I going to fit in all of the big stuff?!" 
 
The stuff I'm excited about.  
The stuff that fills me up.  
The stuff that will grow Lake One.  
The stuff that will jolt me out bed in the morning.  
 
If you find yourself feeling like you can't get the headspace to jump into the things that rev you up. Say no to something.  
 
Right now.  
Clear the space to do one thing today that you know you need to do AND want to do that will move you, your team, your company, your family any of it - forward.  
 
Just - say - no.

Never underestimate the outsized impact of the little things.

It's often the difference between being memorable and not. 

While HubSpot's spring spotlight highlighted over 100+ new product enhancements this spring - I still find the little things the stuff that reminds me why this a product I love to work with. 

Today it's this little nugget.  
The ability to sort values in a property Alphabetically or in a custom order. 

I have no idea when this rolled out - but this little change makes the CRM experience so much better for businesses. More control for those who want it and less friction for those interacting with the CRM daily.
