This is the easiest sale you'll ever make.

I tracked every project we've done for 2 years, and this Clay table CONSISTENTLY had the highest profit margin and lowest time investment.

The 6-step process I use to build it:

(1) Ask what their sales team researches manually.
​
I'll jump on a call with a rep and watch them prep for a meeting. Button by button. I need to see how they think so I can replicate it in Clay.

(2) Request sample input data. I ask for a list of companies they've recently met with. This becomes my test data to make sure the Clay table actually works.

(3) Map it out in Miro. 
​
I create a visual board: Company name (input) → What Clay does → Output. Then I send them a Loom walking through it to confirm I understood correctly.

(4) Build the table with URL references.
​
This is key: for every data point Clay finds, I include the source URL and date. Sales reps need to validate the research, especially if it's pulling from Wikipedia or a 2013 article.

(5) Generate “Battlecards” using the Clay and Google Docs enrichment. 
​
Use ChatGPT to format the text properly. I prompt it to bold section headers, space out paragraphs, and structure it like a briefing doc. Then I feed that into a Google Doc enrichment.

(6) Set up Slack notifications and CRM updates.
​
Every time the table runs, it sends the battle card to Slack and updates the CRM with notes. Zero manual handoff.
​
This table?

It's boring. All it does is just fast account research.
​
But it saves at least 3-5 hours a week, makes sales reps research faster, and you can spin it our in just a couple of hours.

I'm genuinely tired of the email deliverability nonsense on LinkedIn.
​
99% of it is sponsored garbage. 
​
Tools pay creators to post about IP rotation and DNS configuration concepts that sound technical but mean almost nothing to someone just trying to land emails in the inbox.
​
I’ve sent tens of thousands of emails in the last 12 months. 
​
Here are the 5 things that actually matter:
​
(1) Never send cold emails from your main domain.
​
If you send outreach from [name@company.com](mailto:name@company.com), eventually your emails to investors, colleagues, and clients will land in spam. 
Buy similar-looking domains instead 
Use 2-3 inboxes per domain.
​
(2) Warm up every inbox for 14 days minimum.
​
Email warm-up tools automatically send and receive emails to build your sender reputation. Don't skip this. 
Your warm-up score needs to hit 100% before you send a single cold email. No exceptions.
​
(3) Send 20-30 warm-up emails per day, per inbox.
​
Even after you start sending cold emails, keep the warm-up running. 
I recommend 20-30 warm-up emails and 20 cold emails per inbox, per day. 
This keeps your sender reputation high while you scale outreach.
​
(4) Use Gmail or Outlook 
​
SMTP inboxes are cheaper, but I've tested them for two years.
 They're (mostly) burner emails with inconsistent deliverability. 
Gmail and Outlook cost more, but they actually work. Don't reinvent the wheel here and buy just Gmail & Outlook.
​
(5) Never include links, images, or attachments in cold emails.
​
These are instant spam triggers. Keep your emails plain text. 
​
No: 
​
- Hyperlinked signatures
- Embedded images
- PDFs. 
​
Keep it clean, with simple copy.
​
That's it. That’s all you need. 
​
Email deliverability tools are commodities. 
​
1) Pick an email deliverability tool (I’m not shouting any tool out here, as that will defeat the point of this post).
2) Buy domains & set up inboxes
3) Warm them up for two weeks.
​
And start sending.
​

I captured >4k emails from YouTube viewers in the last year alone.

How?
​
Just by saying “if you want the resources used during this video, check the top link in the description below”.

I know it’s common sense, but at this rate you can opt in like 20% of your video viewers into your email marketing.

3) Button by button tutorials are the way to go.
​
Hardly anyone builds out a Clay table from start to finish.

Here are 4 things we’ve learned from dozens of campaigns at once:
​
(1) Most people test campaign performance wrongly.
​
They forget to A/B test the opening lines, still create super dry offers or rely on the same tired CTA, begging for “a call to explore synergies”.
​
We test completely different angles:
​
- Different triggers (hiring, funding, tech stack changes, following competitors, new in role, product launch, job change)
- Different opening liners (based on company triggers vs based on the prospects’ profile vs based on specific qualifying criteria trigger - e.g. un-installed a specific Shopify app in the last 14 days)
- Different offers (audit vs case study vs template giveaway vs Loom video teaser)
- Different CTAs (book call vs reply “word” to get a resource vs visit page vs refer to colleague please)
​
Each campaign targets the same ICP but approaches them differently.
​
(2) Volume reveals patterns you can't see with small tests.
​
Campaign 1: "Are you struggling with declined payments across {region}?" might get a 0.8% reply rate.
​
While Campaign 7: "{competitor A} just recovered $1.2m+ in declined payments within 6 weeks of installing - think it can be a big win for you as you step in from {finance lead} into your {finance director role? " ​ gets a 4.2% reply rate. 
​
Both targeted the same personas - but might get completely different results.
​
You'd never discover this testing one angle per month.
​
(3) ​ Speed compounds learning.
​
A lot of agencies will take 3 months to find what works.
​
We find it in 30 days because we're testing 5x more variables simultaneously.
​
By month 2, we're already scaling the winning campaigns while competitors are still testing their second angle.

(4) The no. 1 learning here…
​
One campaign per month means you're only speaking to one type of buyer.
​
5-10 campaigns means you're covering the spectrum.

1/ I started going to sleep super early.

Call me crazy, but I’m in bed before 8pm and asleep by 9pm on most nights.

I feel this way I get plenty of time in the morning to do some exercise, go on a morning walk & have some “me time” before starting work.
​
(Btw - I’m currently watching a series called The Diplomat ​ - 100% recommend to anyone looking for a good series on Netflix).
​
2/ Sports & recovery.
​
Running twice a week. Football twice a week. 
Just went to some outdoor sauna and cold plunge place. 
Those have been the best ways to switch off from work during the week.
​
3/ I stopped treating weekends like they were bonus workdays.
​
To this day, when I wake up on a Saturday I have the inner temptation to reply to a Linkedin DM, record a new video or top up a campaign for a client, but I have to remind myself that I DON’T WORK WEEKENDS. 
​
4/ Better focus.
​
I used to think I could improve my Spanish speaking, learn N8N, grow my agency, and still remember to do laundry and load the dishwasher every evening. 
​
(spoiler: I couldn't)
​
Oh, and one thing I’m learning to do better now - saying “no” to random opportunities that come up, as they distract me from working on B2b boosted.
​

They had no previous sales experience selling B2B SaaS and needed help with building a sales process.

Over 12+ weeks we built a multi-channel outreach system using HeyReach & Smartlead, powered by Clay, Apollo & Linkedin Sales Navigator.

This wasn’t like the typical b2b boosted work, because we had to create sales scripts, train the team on the scripts & build a Sales Playbook from scratch.
​
It was 100% worth it.
​
Why?

I was just scrolling through their Smartlead inbox to see how they were getting on and came across this email.
​
Yes, it’s not 100% perfect.
​
But, it has:

- Personalised trigger
- AI-generated names of reports that the prospect actually creates
- mention of E-tabs’ USP (report automation)
- CTA (oops, cropped it out of the screenshot, my bad!)
