"How often should I email my list?" 

More than you think. 

At the end of the day... more emails = more money. 

You don't want to "annoy" your audience? 

First, remember: 

1) Not every subscriber reads every email. 
2) You will get "annoyed" long before they will. 
3) You're not that special... people barely remember what they ate yesterday let alone your email. 

Second, provide valuable content and information to help them solve the problem you solve. 

There's nothing annoying about that. 

Botton line - send more emails.

Had an interesting call with a guy who: 

- Graduated the Ivy League's.
- Spent years at an $80B juggernaut. 
- Is now steering a ship set to exit in 2026. 

They're struggling with their marketing and need some help...

He told me, "Our copy and messaging is off. No matter what we do our lead cost continues to rise. We have to get that number down." 

I replied, "Why?"

He looked at me like I had two heads... 

"We can't afford to continue to go in the red to acquire customer if  we want to scale this thing." 

Now remember, I'm an ex-infantryman without a college degree.

This guy? 

His world dwarfs anything I've touched.  

I felt a bit uneasy pushing him but... hey he hopped on the call with me right? 

So I pushed... 

"What if you could pay more than all of your competitors to acquire a customer? What would need to change?" 

He replied, "Ooh, a lot. I mean we'd have to make our customers worth way more than they are now. They're only worth about $200 at 6 month." 

BINGO. 

"What do your upsells look like? How about your post-purchase sequence... do you offer customers a chance to buy again?"

"They get a coupon for 25% off their next purchase...", he shot back. 

I could see the wheels turning. 

By the end of the call we established the problem may have been with their underlying assumptions. 

Tackling the wrong puzzle won't get you far. 

You've got to identify what the biggest leverage points are in your business. 

Ask yourself...

"What's the 5% that would create the largest jump in my business?" 

The answer may surprise you.

4 common "Money Hating" beliefs...

...crushing your business. 

1) “I only email once a week. I don’t want to spam or annoy my customers.”

First—emailing folks who signed up for your list is not spam. 

Second—do great work, have an amazing product and your people will want to hear from you. 

Lastly, sending more emails will only result in one thing—increasing your revenue...

Meaning you’ll have resources to impact more people.

2) “We never upsell our customers, that's unethical.” 

Not sure where this comes from. But I hear it all the time. 

There’s nothing wrong with providing additional options and benefits for your customers, then charging more for them. 

Again if you want to grow your business and impact more people... provide them value and SELL them stuff (business 101 right there).

3) “Let’s get this done as quickly as possible.”

Which really means... you care about the outcome more than the product. 

Speed often kills quality. And poor quality kills value.

Give a sh*t about your customers and what you provide them... even if it takes a while to get there. 

4) “Let's find someone cheaper.”

You might think you’re getting the upper hand. 

But 9 times out of 10 your “great deal” is gonna cost you more in the long run. 

The lesson here? 

 Examine your thoughts and beliefs.

 They’re more than likely holding you back from the life you dream of.

This is by far one of the easiest ways to create new revenue in an existing business. 

First, take what you’re already selling and consider what other problems the consumer might want solved. 

In this example, the company sells a heavy metal detox supplement. 

We know the customers: 

- Struggle with fatigue and brain fog.
- Buy other supplements. 
- Diet and exercise. 

So immediately after their purchase—starting on the thank you page and within the welcome sequence—we become their “trusted advisor” on everything health related. 

In this case we created a free bonus they can opt-in to receive (“12 Delicious Detox Smoothies You Can Make in Minutes”).

Everyone who said “YES” to the free bonus also receives weekly health and wellness tips that feature products from other companies… 

And we collect an affiliate commission every time we sell someone else's product. 

It’s dead simple.
Doesn’t require much time or effort. 
Helps solve your customers' problems. 
And creates $25k-$40k month in recurring revenue (nearly 100% profit).

What more could you want?

This sh*t is hard. 

Deals fall through. 

People screw you over. 

The competition is FIERCE. 

And your mind plays tricks on you. 

Luckily you can make it slightly less difficult on yourself...  You just gotta learn some mental gymnastics. 

Here's 3 things I use to pick myself up after being punched in the gut: 

1) Reframe the situation. 

A deal fell through? 

Okay… 

Well what would have happened if you never had the opportunity to be presented with the deal in the first place?

Would you be down and out? 

No. 

You’d be on the lookout for the next deal. 

So logically, pick yourself up and go get the next deal. 

2) Detach from the outcome. 

This one is difficult. 

ESPECIALLY in the beginning. 

But I like to think I am in the game for the game itself, not the spoils. 

The money or whatever the outcome is... is NICE but not the point of the game. 

The point is to continue playing. 

Kinda like dancing. 

You don’t dance to get somewhere, you dance to dance. 

Assuming you’re not dead broke and all outta options, then you’re still in the game and this is what you signed up for. 

3) Go 3 ‘why’s’ deep

When something doesn’t go my way and I start to feel some type of way about it I try to ask myself “Why?”

I’m angry a deal didn’t go through like I thought it would…

“Why did you want it to go through?” 

Because it would have been a great paycheck.”

“Why do you want a great paycheck?”

Because I want... 

It almost always comes to me wanting something I don’t actually need. 

Sometimes I have to go a lot deeper than 3 (maybe 5-7) “why’s deep”...

But I always get to a point where it doesn’t make sense and the reason I’m mad is dumb. 

At this point I’m almost immune to being punched in the fast because it’s happened so many times. 

But when a big blow comes and I’m rattled I try to use these 3 things to get me out of a rut.
