An audience member caught me.
“But how much does 𝘠𝘖𝘜𝘙 podcast make?"

I love this mindset. 

But it's the wrong question.

This is podcasting for business.

"How much does it cost to acquire a customer?"

Now we're onto something.

2024 Stats: 

$12,240/year spent on the podcast
$700/year on related software 
42 customers acquired 

Customer Acquisition Cost: $308.10

The average lifetime value of a retainer client is $25,000. 

So we spend $308.10 to make $25,000. 

The framework: 

1. LinkedIn = 90% Podcast Content
2. Podcast = 100% Podcast Content
3. YouTube = 98% Podcast Content
4. Email = 90% Podcast Content
5. In-person events = 5% podcast content

So the podcast doesn't make us money. 

It brings us clients for pennies on the dollar. 

Which generates revenue. 

No overprived marketer.
No churn and burn agencies.
No cold calls or cold emails. 

Just a podcast and a LinkedIn account.

4 years ago, I was doing oil changes for 8 hours a day.
Today, I give my first keynote to 100's of podcasters. 
Trust me, it's possible.

The worst feeling is having a great offer.  
But getting 0 sales from social media. 
I've been there, too. 

It's not the offer. 

It's not the algo. 

It's not even you. 

3 years ago, I was lacing up these boots. 

Another day under the hood of a car. 

Oil, breaks, tires. 
Oil, breaks, tires. 
Oil, breaks, tires. 

Fun.

So how did a mechanic generate 207 clients?

I did the opposite of what the gurus said. 

I followed a simple strategy. 

1) Showed my clients doing the thing, not me
2) Learned buyer psychology, not 'lead gen'  
3) Got help - spent $15k/year on coaching

So if you're not getting the leads.

If you're not generating the business. 

Start showing, learning, and hiring help. 

So you don't need to lace up the boots again!

600 clients from one podcast. 
But that's not how it started.

Client 1 = $0
Client 2 = $0
Client 3 = $0

This is when I started to give up. 

But I figured, "It's only up from here."

So I kept going. 

Then came client 4. 

After 4 years, they generated 600 clients from their podcast. So I interviewed the hosts to explain how they did it.

Everybody has to taste every single item.

The same thing works for hiring.

Sample.

It sounds so simple.

But when you hire people out of pain, you force yourself to skip every single thing that guarantees a good work product.

Hiring is easy when you have a system. 

So always sample, sample more, then sample again.
