Previously, I led sales at Quolum, as a player-coach in the SDR/AE function. In less than 3 months we tripled our conversations and pipeline with half the resources. Through those conversations we re-positioned ourselves in the market, testing pricing strategies, and eventually pivoted from selling fintech to the CFO to selling cybersecurity to CISO. 

The 6 months at Quolum was a mini MBA, from board reports to Nexus/Sequoia, to selling ideas internally, it was as fast-paced as it could be taking early morning calls with India and late night calls with Australia. At Quolum I learned I never want to be a VP of sales again lol. 

Before joining Quolum, I led and grew the customer success and sales team at Mailshake, a product-led sales org that achieved over 100% YoY growth and 5+ million ARR. 

I also have a background in e-commerce growth, conversion rate optimization, SEO, and behavioral email marketing, having worked with 30+ eTailers and leading CRO programs for Optimizely's enterprise clients.

But my passion is entrepreneurship, having built eCommerce agencies, eCommerce stores, and hundreds of websites, keep shipping until one of them hits Product Market Fit.

Quolum is on a mission to save companies BILLIONS of dollars in unused SaaS applications.

Quolum is a full-stack SaaS Procurement product. We have created something out of thin air that sits at the intersection of Finance + IT + Procurement. 

To achieve responsible SaaS buying, we:

* Track feature-level utilization of SaaS apps
* Tame long tail spend via our own SaaS Card and accounting systems integrations
* Reduce FinOps drudgery by aggregating contracts and invoices
* Apply AI, Fintech, and IT workflow to reduce organizational friction.

The State of Global Compensation report dropped, and a few things immediately stood out.

1. Equity - companies are offering lifechanging equity opportunities in Brazil (ask our recruiter Paula Caraballo about some great equity plays if you are an engineer in Brazil)

2. AI/ML - if you aren’t upgrading your top engineers salaries every 6 months chances are we are going to recruit them from you. Top performers are getting 20+ messages a day. You need to pay top rate for the best AI/ML talent regardless of country

3. The USA, Canada and UK lead in compensation (meaning you are paying the most if you are writing the checks, and receiving the most if you are a w2 worker (keep differentiating yourself if the latter to not face competition from abroad)

Cutting your interviewer off to answer a question before they’ve even finished has to be one of the wildest behaviours I’ve encountered in interviews.

You can miss a critical moment to actually understand what was being asked. It shows impatience, poor listening and a lack of composure which are not great qualities to showcase when the entire point of the interview is to show how you think and communicate.

Slow down. Listen. Give yourself the chance to answer the right question, not the one you assumed was coming.
