During my tenure at FabFitFun, I helmed a diverse, cross-continental team of 50 engineers, channeling our collective expertise to innovate across mobile and sales platforms, as well as our online community.

My leadership role went beyond day-to-day management - it was about strategic transformation. I initiated the transition from monolithic architecture to microservices, spearheaded the integration of CI/CD into our entire engineering lifecycle, and championed the introduction of automated testing best practices. The outcome? A drastic reduction in deployment time from weeks to mere days.

Our accomplishments didn't stop at internal improvements. We took the reins of technology involved in our sales pipelines, collectively generating a revenue of one billion dollars annually. Furthermore, under my guidance, we created a comprehensive native mobile app experience and laid down a formal onboarding process for engineering.

I was the second technical hire at Habit.  As the Head of Engineering, I managed a 24-person engineering team including Engineers, Project Managers, and QA Managers.  We worked in an agile environment with cross-functional teams that included Digital Product Managers, Consumer Packaged Goods, Brand Managers, and Data Scientists. Our team was distributed across several continents and coordinated to ensure we had round-the-clock support for our site and mobile application.

I oversaw the development of our Ruby on Rails API, React Front End, React Native iOS Application, React Native iPad app, and Rails API for our custom kitchen operations and fulfillment tools and our proprietary Ruby on Rails nutritional engine.  The website used SQS, Postgres, and Redis for scale, database, and caching.  The kitchen/fulfillment tools are scaled to produce up to 12,000+ unique SKUs per week while managing inventory, an efficient production path, optimization of kitchen staff equipment, and cost optimizations for the business.  The nutrition engine is a proprietary decision tree algorithm that incorporates 100+ inputs and creates 100+ outputs that provide nutritional profiles for our customers.

In addition, I oversaw the technology required to integrate with third-party Physicians Networks (PWN), Laboratories (Aegis), payment pipelines (Stripe), and fulfillment (FedEx).

Build the prototype consumer experience from product order to fulfillment and shipment to food delivery.
 migration from a SAAS HIPAA compliant hosting environment to AWS based HIPAA compliant environment managed by Habit

Migration from a monolithic Rails application to a React/Redux front end / Rails API client/server model.

I worked with the Software Engineering Organization as Athos grew their business from launch onward. This included building out the ecommerce platform from scratch. I worked closely with the design and other cross-functional teams to implement marketing efforts across the organization. We worked on the agile, iterative principles to further implement new featuresets and drive innovation across both the coach and customer experiences.

During my time with Athos, I was also involved in business development sales, working with various organizations like the San Francisco 49ers to demonstrate the product's capabilities and better translate the athlete's needs to the engineering and product teams. I had the fortune of coming into Learnist as an Engineer but growing within the company to becoming the Director of Engineering and leading the entire engineering organization. We worked on multiple platforms with iOS, and Android development is paramount in the digestion of our content. We worked in a combination of agile and lean methodologies. The diverse team was compromised of 17 engineers with varying disciplines.

Aside from my role as an Engineering Director, I also managed the SEO strategy for Learnist, helping garner over 1M unique users daily.

I run my entire day from one notebook.

Every morning, I open to a blank page and write three sections:

TOP 10 TASKS

The ten things that actually move my business forward today.

Not busy work. Not emails. The real stuff.

If it doesn't make the top 10, it doesn't get done.

WHAT CAN I DELEGATE?

I scan my list and circle anything someone else could own.

This one question has saved me hundreds of hours.

If you're doing work that doesn't require your specific brain, you're building a job instead of a business.

END-OF-DAY CHECK-IN

Before I close the notebook, I rate three areas from 1-10:

• Work: Did I do what I said I would?
• Life: Did I feel connected and present?
• Health: Did I take care of my body and mind?

Three numbers. Total honesty.

It keeps me from lying to myself about how the day actually went.

This system doesn't require discipline or willpower.

It just requires showing up to the same page every morning and being honest about what matters.

Here’s how to actually get ahead.

Most founders react their way through the week.
I did too — until I built a simple system that made my results predictable.

It’s five checkpoints.
Fewer than 100 minutes a week.
And it compounds like crazy.

Here’s the exact Founder Rhythm OS I use (the same one in the infographic above):

1. Monday Direction Check (10 min)

Start the week with clarity instead of chaos.

→ Define the one outcome that matters
→ Set a theme so your week has intention
→ Decide what “winning” looks like by Friday
→ Pick the single non-negotiable task

If you don’t set direction, the week sets it for you.

2. Bottleneck Audit (5 min)

Every business has friction.
Most founders just work through it instead of removing it.

→ What’s slowing you down right now?
→ What’s the decision you're avoiding?
→ What feels heavier than it should?

You can’t scale what’s stuck.

3. Leverage Block (60 min)

One hour — but only for compounding work.

Not meetings.
Not busywork.
Not “catching up.”

This is where you build engines:

→ Systems
→ Content machines
→ Automations
→ Offers
→ Assets that make future weeks easier

One leverage hour beats a reactive 8-hour day.

4. Friday Debrief (15 min)

If you don’t close the loop, you repeat the same mistakes.

→ What worked
→ What didn’t
→ What created results
→ What you’ll change next week

This is where your system becomes self-correcting.

5. Weekend Reset (10 min)

A quick energy check before Monday hits.

→ What drained you
→ What recharged you
→ Your energy score
→ A theme for the coming week

Founders don’t burn out from working hard —
they burn out from working blind.

Most founders want momentum.
But momentum comes from rhythm, not effort.

• Only publish posts that solve a problem
• Never post without a clear angle
• Keep one CTA: subscribe
• Don’t chase engagement — chase usefulness
• Build posts around things people can screenshot

→ improve systems
→ reduce future workload

→ Document wins
→ Document failures
