I’m ALIVE!! I should act like it?? :) And here’s why…

I have learned to stop sabotaging myself. I knew I deserved the career I wanted, and the salary that would make everyone at Thanksgiving dinner drool (not just over the turkey and gravy).

I’ve battled the fear of failure and fear of change as those are two of the top things I did when I avoided going after a goal.

Not applying for my dream sales job or procrastinating on the next step forward was indeed self-sabotaging, and I couldn't do that. 

No one was coming to save me. 

I learned to gear up, press forward into LIFE, and keep taking the next step forward (small ones count, too).

I didn’t land my first interview for the sales role I wanted at a top company. 

I didn’t land my second, third or 49th. 

I didn’t land my dream role at Dell until I went through rigorous failure in countless interviews. 

But then I did. And looking back, it all came together just as it should. 

And what I learned from this isn’t the typical ‘don’t give up, don’t give in’ 

I learned that there are countless opportunities out there. And there is one that is just right for you, just like there was for me at Dell.

Elite Tech Sales - Get Top Paying Sales Job

I drive by this older man in a blue lawn chair almost every day. 

He’s just sitting in his chair, in his yard, staring at the sky. 

I’ve driven by him many times now and thought to myself the other day…

“He probably isn’t worrying about anything. Not a to-do list, job interview, or meeting…” 

He looks perfectly content just being. 

And it made me realize how important that is too. In the busyness of looking for a job, switching into sales, worrying about applying and your application even being seen…

What if for a moment or two, you just sit and wonder at the sky, remember how short (yet wonderful) life is, and that sometimes giving your brain and spirit some space is medicine. 

And from that medicine, comes better ideas, more strength and resilience to get back in the playing field and keep going after what you want.

You don’t need more time, you get more done in less. 

Procrastination is avoiding discomfort. Yaaaaas we’ve been here before, I know! 

But if you just tell your silly brain “Yo brain, we have work to do!’ and then jump in, headfirst, no bs. 

You’ll get stuff done. Fast.

-Practice speaking the ‘interview language’ over and over until it’s all you know
-Cleaning/decluttering your workspace (a clear space = a clear mind) 
-Cold calling (once you land that badass sales job)
