Quitting and giving up are different.

Quitting can be a smart decision.

If your decision fits better with your:

-Goals
-Mental health
-Way of happiness
-Current financial situation

It doesn't move you backward.

You might need to stop doing one thing.

But to do something better. 

Giving up is totally different.

It is stopping trying.

When there is a chance to succeed.

"9-5 hater" content is weird.

(Many will unfollow me after this post)

Here is why it is weird:

- They build the tools you use
- They contribute to society's stability
- Social media platforms built by them

Another perspective:

Some people simply MUST 9-5

They just need to provide for their family.

I get it - you never had a good 9-5 job.

You may not prefer 9-5.

This doesn't mean they don't exist.

And "9-5 hater" is a bad positioning.

I learned a lot from my 9-5 jobs.

Built a great network.

Made amazing friends.

I know many other people also did.

So stop using this for engagement.

Share your good 9-5 experiences.

Let's see in the comments section.

Video and voice prospecting are powerful.

But can be a waste of resources.

You're asking prospects to invest time.

Without knowing you and your company.

This is a big ask.

You have to show:

-It can be valuable potentially
-Your video/audio is RELEVANT

So you need a short text to convince them.

So they watch or listen.

But let me tell you something.

There is no silver bullet to book a meeting.

So video/audio is not a must.

Some people appreciate the video approach.

And others might respond to cold calls.

I worked for different industries.

For some video was the best.

LinkedIn worked great.

But for the other one, cold call was the best.

Don't let anyone confuse you.

Test everything with a proper volume.

Find what works best for you.

And none of the methods is dead.

If you don't know how to do it;

Your skills are dead, not the method.

Underestimated danger: 

Having a bad feed.

Not many talk about this.

It is unfortunate but it is true:

- Bad content
- Generic AI content.
- There is some terrible advice

And it is not even the bad part.

Ok, you can be selective.

And don't take advice from random people.

But what if it is affecting you subconsciously?

Possible if you're spending time on LinkedIn.

I think the content you consume affects:

-Thoughts
-Decision
-Perspectives

(you make it visible for your network if you engage)

So connect with relevant people.

Engage with quality content.

Don't engage randomly to be visible.

How do you try to protect your feed?


"Your idea is already done"

Did people say this to your idea?

"Oh everyone has a course"

Don't get demoralized.

It is a good sign.

Competition means demand.

It's clear people want it. 

That's a good starting point.

Consider what unique value can you bring.

Let's look at it from the other angle.

You are trying to build something new.

You don't know if there will be demand.

So you have two possibilities here:

You will become a billionaire
Build a product no one will use

Let's be honest here.

What are the odds of finding an idea;

Which is not tested by 8 billion people?

It is not always a good thing to be a pioneer.

Want to attract ICP with your posts?

Here is how I do it:

I always made my posts about them.

Focus on specific areas with my posts:

- Goals
- Cliches
- Pain points
- Specific jokes
- Misconceptions

Why do I focus on those?

To resonate and make them feel understood.

So they can openly engage with my post.

Depending on their engagement;

1. I reach out
2. Continue to build a connection

It always helped me to book more meetings.

And build amazing connections.

PS: you still need to go multichannel.

What would you add?

Want to grow your audience fast?
(Bad news for you)

It is not going to happen.

Audience building requires patience.

-Trust takes time
-You need familiarity

It took years even for the top ones.

Let me give you an example:

Alex Hormozi did not grow in 1 day.

His first podcast episode was in 2017.

He showed up every week.

And continuously improved.

If you are looking for;

- Quick fixes
- Viral formulas
- Hacks to maximize your reach

Instead of improving your quality;

I recommend doing something else.

Do you think you can be patient enough?

Thinking you know what people need.

It is a big mistake.

Do you know why it happens?

Because those closest to us:

-Are like-minded
-Share our interests
-Have similar life views
-Have a similar background 

It is like "the echo chamber effect.

So don't assume that no one reads it.

or find your content/product valuable.

Not everyone is like you.

Step outside your echo chamber.

Test and understand first.

Learn from different perspectives.

How do you step out of your echo chamber?

Recently a Turkish CEO went viral.
(I'll give you the formula :D)

Let me tell you the story first.

Customer shared their product on LinkedIn.
(chocolate company)

The problem:

The chocolate was full of mold.

Do you know how the CEO commented?

"This product never molds, did you know that? Let's be honest. You really should check the humidity in your house urgently. Also, it's sad that you have nothing else to post on LinkedIn. You're right, everyone really needs us to get some attention.

Everyone really stands behind our product! Good luck to you. Our lawyers will be in contact, but I prefer to handle my own business."

Her tone was condescending.

Yup, she went viral.

-She is not CEO anymore.
-become the focus of public scrutiny.
-Company is going to lose market share.

One comment changed everything.

Maybe she was having a bad day.

But it is not an excuse.

And it is not a reason for public shaming.

But I think it is a learning opportunity for us.

Employees with a strong personal brand.

Demand for you is increasing.

Why?

You empower companies' potential reach.

Employees have 10 times more followers.

And it is a diverse audience.
 
Reasons for demand increase:

- Attracting new talent
- More sales opportunities
- Stronger company reputation
- Increased trust with customers
- Reach for potential partnerships

My personal experience proves that to me.

And according to LinkedIn, 71% agree.

Personal branding improved my career.

The number of followers matters.

But here is the thing.

It doesn't mean you have a brand.

It doesn't mean you have an audience.

Yes, a big number of followers looks good.

Makes your first impression strong.

Not bad at all.

But if you have:

-Useless comments under your posts
-AI comments under your posts
-250k followers 5 engagement
-Irrelevant followers

It is not good for your reputation.

Followers should be a by-product.

Not your goal.

If you're gaining fewer followers nowadays;

Check the quality of your content first.

Don't look for new algorithm hacks.

So yes - followers matter.

But if you do it the right way.

But keeping things simple is not easy.

So my focus is always;

-Prioritizing clarity over complexity.
-Communicating clearly and concisely.
-Streamlining processes to enhance efficiency.

Why would I make things complicated?

And why would I make business complicated?

I think life is already complicated enough.

Building in public? - read this👇
(Reviewed/discussed with 7 founders)

For sure building public is powerful.

- Enhances transparency and trust.
- Fosters a community around your journey.
- Provides real-time feedback and support.

But one thing can be a problem.

Attracting the ICP.

Last week I had a chat with a founder.
(Was building a micro saas in public)

Her words:

"none of my network was my ICP"

I'm not saying it is wrong.

There is no size fits all.

But you need a strategy for building in public.

Find what is a priority for you.

And plan your content accordingly.

Other potential problems:

-Pivoting in public is harder
-Overexposure to criticism
-Sharing too much about your product

The invitation stood out.

It was specifically customized for me.

It was easy to see everything in one place.

- I learned podcast details
- Saw Previous episodes
- Checked docs
- Learned about the Next steps

Just like your prospect wants to see.

I don't have a podcast.

But I'm going to use it for my sales processes.

I perform well when things are organized.

It is personalized and clear.

On the other side;

I think it can increase efficiency in sales.

3. Focus
