We analyzed buyer feedback from 192 closed-lost deals ($4.2M in lost revenue). Here are 6 deals where the CRM reasons said they were lost from a mixture of timing, budget, or competitor, but the feedback said different:

Deal #1: $136K, Buyer rated the experience 'significantly below expectations'. "The rep looked inexperienced and the technical team wasn't prepared to demonstrate the core platform capability they came to see."

Deal #2: $55K, Buyer rated the experience 'significantly below expectations'. "I had to work around the sales engineers to get basic questions answered that other vendors handled easily."

Deal #3: $328K, rated 'below expectations'. "Started with a strong rep who left mid-process. Replacement rep didn't take time to understand our business or challenges."

Deal #4, (same deal, different stakeholder): $328K, rated 'significantly below expectations'.  "There were moments when the sales relationship almost felt adversarial."

Deal #5: $139K, rated 'below expectations'. "I didn't feel like they understood my pain points at all. We came in doing our research, knew what we wanted, and it was a poorly managed process."

Deal #6: $98K, rated 'below expectations'. "I wanted to see the product in action. Got lengthy explanations instead."
