I put the team first because it is the most important thing to me.  I cannot tell you how many teams I have been a part of that were hard to be in because of market, tech, product, etc. But I can also tell you the reason why any of those places were worth working at was because of people.

What my trifecta is to look for with work are the most important and I have only had it a few times in my lifetime.

I have seen 574 AI demos (as of this morning and I am not joking, I have notes of all of them).

There is a lot of noise, a lot of crap, and lot of powerful tools, I genuinely believe that Momentum.io represents both a company and technology which will define the next revolution of AI inside of revenue teams. I have my MBA in marketing from the University of Utah, I ran a product marketing team before, but historically, I am a sales and revenue enablement guy and obviously an AI nerd.

I tell the founders all the time that I cannot believe I get paid to do what I do because I am having so much fun doing it.

Sure there are days with conflict, stress, and struggle, but what makes it worth it is the trifecta I have already pointed out.

For those reading this that may not be in a role where you feel the way I feel, I will tell you.. hold on, it will come.

I remember posts from people who would talk like I do and would think, "they are just saying this cuz its on Linkedin, the real story is different"

But I am telling you, this is as genuine as it gets.  I didn't even use Ai to write this post... weird right? I typed out all 2000+ characters.

Hold, do what you love and passionate about, find a team, tech, and role you love and dive in.

Huge congrats to my dear friend Amber Watts🌱 who an official Association for Talent Development (ATD) published author! 

In her book, “Onboarding to Everboarding” she breaks down everything you can think of with accelerating the talent on your team. 

As someone who geeks out on onboarding, I loved it and learned a thing or two (maybe like 15 things at least) from her genius. 

I’m also super honored she would include me and my LOPAFT model in one of her chapters. I have dived into it many times but was humbled when she wanted me to be a part of it. 

Beyond that, she has TONS of amazing resources, templates, battle proof concepts from someone who was an enablement pro and then shifted to a CRO position. 

Her view on things comes from being the revenue leader of an big company who has enablement background, so you get a front row seat to see the difference in how she thinks as the revenue leader vs other enablers.

You can't automate what you haven't mapped. Do you know what happens after one call as an example? 

This workflow chart? It's the before picture of AI transformation.

Every GTM team says they want AI automation. But when I ask to see their process maps, I get blank stares and shoulder shrugs.

You're trying to apply AI to chaos. That's why it fails.

Look at this chart - 6 phases, 24-hour cycle, color-coded handoffs. Someone actually documented every single step of their human workload process.

That's the unsexy work that makes AI actually work.

Most teams want to jump straight to the AI magic. "Just automate our sales process!" 

But automation without documentation is just faster chaos.

The teams crushing it with AI? They did this first:
• Mapped every process step (even the ugly ones)
• Identified decision points and data flows
• Found the repetitive patterns hiding in plain sight

Then - and only then - they applied AI to the right spots.

Example from a team using Momentum:
