Skeptical about my numbers? โ†ณ I'll show my math ___show me the numbers___ Funnel math time โคต๏ธ $160k = all-in cost per SDR โ†ณ salary, comm, manager, tax, benefits, tools 120 = avg. cold calls per day: โ†ณ a range of 40 - 200 245 = working days โ†ณ 260 days minus 15 vacation + holidays This gets us... 29,400 call per year $5.44 = cost per dial โ†ณ TO MAKE 1 DIAL Then it gets worse โคต๏ธ 5% = avg dial to connect rate 4.82% = avg connect to meetings set So... 29,400 call per year โ†ณ 1,470 connects โ†ณ 71 meetings set โ†ณ 60 meeting held (w/ 85% show rate) = $2,667 per meeting held ^ this cold calling is dead โŒ No/very low ROI โŒ Wastes SDR time โŒ Is only getting worse __ one way to fix the ROI __ A few ways to make sure cold calling works for you. Stop glorifying commission-only pay. Itโ€™s just risk-transfer wrapped in a hoodie. Letโ€™s call it what it is: - Founders playing it safe. - Companies dodging risk. - Reps taking all the hits. High growth โ‰  pay mortgages. Equity potential โ‰  cover groceries. It's not hustle culture. Itโ€™s empty promises. If you really believe in your team? โ†’ Pay them well. โ†’ Train them up. โ†’ Support them. Because commission-only isnโ€™t a motivator. Itโ€™s founders dodging payroll with a smile. Parallel dialers are like dating apps. It starts out great, but then quickly falls apart. You get ghosted โ†’ ignored โ†’ blocked On repeat.
